After reading many books on appalachian history and adventuous pioneers of the smoky mountain region. I beleive Horace Kephart made his life a signature in writing this book,it is so vivid in detail that you will feel just as he did in his experieces. The only way to know what I am describing is to experience this word of marvel called OUR SOUTHERN HIGHLANDERS.
