No one finds their way to Hell on their own.
There is always someone willing to take your hand.
Their day arrives in the dark, bringing Catherine the realization that the movements of a clock are irrelevant to Time or the outcome of life.
Catherine knew her father was a killer.
She remembered the name of one of the girls.
She knew what each of them looked like.
He had died when she was young, her grandmother had always told her the truth and in the hours after her funeral her father will show her what he and she are capable of.
Catherine and the young girl have not slept.
They are strangers, no names spoken.
Catherine clings to the cold child and wonders what to pray for.
Time to stop,
or End?

Very dark and gritty. 'Our Time by the Clock' isn't written in the usual style and some of the things I thought were errors I assume were deliberate style choices. Once you get into the flow this becomes a real page turner and you won't be able to put it down. Highly recommended.

I didnt know what I was getting into with this book. I thought it was one thing then it quickly became something else. It is most definitely a story and not poetry! At first I struggled to understand what i was reading but i think its so cleverly written that it challenged my presumptuous reading ego then showed me to be completely wrong. I will admit that it is rare a book keeps me gusessing for as long as this one did but when the pieces fell into place I really became engrossed in the story. The whole book is a tale of secrets and hidden skeletons in multiple cupboards. It is told as a conversation in parts and recollection in others as the narrator seeks redemption for a lost youth taken by lies.
