So once again this author is starting a new series with 5 stars...only complaint it was only 109 pages and actually like 95 pages to the story...would prefer a more lengthy read.

Big Money, Short Story. No matter how well written this might be, the fact it's only 109 pages for $3 to $4's is ridiculous. STOP calling these "books" when they're not. It's not nice to rip off consumers. Label them short stories so we know what we're buying.

A short story just over 100 pages but totally worth it. Yes it has some strong language and very explicit sex scenes. But its not your typical hard guy goes soft when he falls in love. Demon which is the alpha male in the story stays alpha he doesn't hide his true self. Shes a little fire cracker. Over all short and sweet. I do recomend it

100 pages for 3 bucks?? Worst waste of money. Threw a bunch of sex and alpha males on some pages and called it a book?? It didn't flow right, it was rushed and just thrown together, and this is suppose to be a series?? I love alpha male stories, and MC stories, erotica, and so on. This was a waste of money and time. I was completely disappointed. I want my money back so bad it's not even funny. s.

I should preface this by saying that to me, Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent are the authors which all MC Romance authors should live up to. They created this genre for me.  I am like a caffeine addict with a 300 gallon pot of coffee in front of me. I HAVE TO HAVE EVERY BOOK THEY WRITE.  The opportunity to read a book they wrote together?   A dream come true. This is the story of Demon and Deanna.  Deanna's low life father owes Demon and his club.   Deanna is the payment.  She tries to fight her attraction for Demon, but she's drawn to him.   Demon has little taste for this kind of thing normally but the opportunity to have Deanna is too much for him to pass up. He craves her.   I love all of these authors' books. But this book? This book tops every one of them. These authors together are dynamite. The book flows so smoothly and is so good you would never guess two different authors wrote this book!      If you are an MC reader?  you should not miss.   It is my favorite by either author.  My FAVORITE   I own over 160 books  by these girls combined. That's saying A LOT.       5 stars but would be SO MANY MORE if I could give them

This book sort of reminds me of Sam Crescents other two MC series, The Skulls & Chaos Bleeds. Especially with the Soldiers now under Zeke's thumb and having to work for him, its like Gonzalez all over again. (For those who have read these two series will know exactly what I'm referring to) Unfortunately I've never read a Jenika Snow book so I don't know about her writing style.. Its funny, they tried to make Demon out to be such a bastard but I feel he was anything but. Liking a little pain with sex, being demanding and controlling or trying to be with Deanna does not a bastard make him. He was a man falling in love and didn't know how to deal with it. Don't get me wrong, he was a bad ass but he didn't really instill that spike of fear in the reader. Deanna's character was funny, I love how she defended herself, its obvious that she will have no problems with confrontations, but the whole insta-love right after her father's death was a bit sick...even if he was a worthless piece of crap. Overall this was a quick and fast paced read, lots of sex, crass and crude talking men. Not a horrible start to a new series but it could have been better, great sexual chemistry is wonderful and all but it seemed that every other page was nothing but sex or sex filled thoughts, fantasies, actions and words. The book was too damn short for all of that. Joker's book looks to be interesting, sad but interesting...we'll see! SR

Great beginning for a new series between these two awesome writers. Do bad guys have redeeming qualities…sure, do they act on them…sometimes! That’s how I felt about Demon, he was a bad guy, but with Deanna he really wanted to turn around and make some changes. Deanna was basically traded by her father to the MC in order to repay his debts, unbeknownst to her. She fights Demon and is able to get away but runs into an angry father who attacks her. That is a turning point for her. Truly a hard core look into the MC life. The characters are strong, especially such a hardened biker as Demon and Deanna has perseverance, she wants to live and now she has something to live for, a new life she would never had thought to have. *ARC provided in return for an honest review

The female lead was stupd and stupid. Male lead basically tells her she's gonna be a white for him and his brothers and she stays? What? No.

I enjoyed the story but didn't enjoy the very quick timeline, occasional misspelled word, or switched tenses mid-sentence. Probably will still give book 2 a shot

Overall Rating:  4 Rockin Stars Owned by the Bastard is the first book in The Soldiers of Wrath MC series by authors, Jenika Snow and Sam Crescent. It is also the first book I've read by this talented authors. This book had it all; gritty intense drama, super-hot sexy bikers, and a feisty tempered heroine! Demon and Deanna at first seem to be an unlikely pair to end up together.  This is the journey they take on their way to finding true love and a HEA. Demon is the President of the Soldiers of Wrath MC and he didn't get there by being a pansy. He's hard, cold and lethal.  He leads with an iron fist and expects loyalty to the club above all else.  Deanna made a dying promise to her mom to take care of her drug addicted father.  She didn't realize the horrors she would have to endure when she made that promise. Deanna's dad owes the club money and he offers her to them as payment.  The moment Demon saw her picture he wanted her.  Deanna is side swiped when she visits her dad and the brothers show up to collect payment - her!  She is furious and doesn't make it easy for them. I really enjoyed this first book and I look forward to reading more by these amazing authors.  They have the ability to create a world that you get lost in.  Their writing is fast paced and you are not left lingering or wondering.   The secondary characters are well developed and I want to know what is going on with Joker and Amy. This is a great addition to my library and I highly recommend you do the same.

Great freakin hot sexy bad ass bikers. The story line is awesome but the book only a little over 100 pages so the story is not even close to long enough. And then it comes to an abrubt end. I was very disappointed.
