Illustrations and text present the various elements of a parade. It goes through all the events leading up to the parade, during the parade, and when it is over. It shows the different sights someone would see such as the food that is there, fire engines, and the emptiness afterwards. I think this would be a good book to tell students about what a parade is esp. if one was coming on in the community.
Parade is a great picture book with colorful illustrations that will keep children's attention. It's about watching a typical mardi gras parade and things you see before, during and after it.
