Tara Sivec is and always will be the queen of books to make you piss your pants! I love Tyler and all things MLP and Ava and her passion for fashion. I also love all of the Seduction and Snacks characters but the 1 thing that bothers me about this book is that its finished and I so want more! Amazing read that made me start laughing out loud starting with page 1 and still laughing out loud at all the craziness to the final word. Loved it!

Chocolate Lovers series, winners. First book of the Chocoholics series, Love and Lists, another winner. That’s four books leading up to Passion and Ponies. Four books that I thoroughly enjoyed, each building off of the preceding book(s). But when an author continues a series (I’ll consider this one series, even though the Chocoholics is a spin-off of the Chocolate Lovers, it’s a continuation as well) into a fifth book, some doubts might arise about it bringing something new to the playing field or whether the series will run out of steam. Early on in reading P&P I knew that Sivec had done it again. This is another great book filled with not just hilarious moments that have become a trademark of Sivec’s writing, but also a deeper look into some characters that might not have been taken seriously in the past. This book focuses a relationship that was hinted at in Love and Lists, Ava and Tyler’s strange attraction. Before this book, Tyler is really only seen as an overgrown child (much like many of the characters during the Chocolate Lovers series). Being able to get part of this story from Tyler’s point of view added depth to his and an understanding about who he actually is. He wasn’t just Gavin’s roommate who tagged along all the time. The same can be said about Ava and getting her point of view. Seeing the development of these two characters over the course of the book gave me a better appreciation for these books, even though I enjoyed them already. As always, this book doesn’t lack in laugh out loud moments (I maybe have actually laughed a few times). The same crude humor can be found within the pages, but it doesn’t get in the way of the main storyline. It only enhances the book. In past books, as a reader, my enjoyment was focused more on the comedy than on what the bigger picture was. I think Sivec shows that she’s grown as a writer since then to improve her story telling even more. Will I read another Chocoholics book if there is to be another? Of course. I don’t think I’ll be getting tired of these characters for a long time. It seems that there is an endless supply of great stories that can come out of this side of Tara Sivec.

My Take: I have absolutely loved getting to know the kids, now adults, of the Seduction and Snacks clan! In this book, we get to know Ava. She's working for the family, but her true passion lies in fashion. The only person who seems to really "get" her is a Brony. The aforementioned Brony, Tyler,  is Gavin's best friend, who has somehow managed to become intertwined with the family too.  What I love the most about these books is the dialogue. It really makes me laugh and it makes the characters seem more real and relatable. Sure, some of the things they do or say are a bit off the wall, but it's still hysterical! Another thing I love is that we get to see some similarities between the new couples and the old. What makes it interesting though, is that it seems the kids have mostly learned from their parents mistakes. Mostly.  Both Ava and Tyler go through some pretty big life changing moments in this book. Ava's hard work on her fashion blog really paid off for her and Tyler was her biggest supporter. Then, Tyler found out some pretty shocking family secrets and while helping him cope with that, Ava began to see Tyler for the great guy he really was. It was sweet how they ultimately came together and fell in love.  Overall, I really enjoyed it. I expect Sivec's book to be entertaining and they always are. Tyler and Ava were great and as always, I loved seeing the whole crew. I have my fingers crossed that Molly will get a book next!  If you're looking for a laugh out loud book, check this out! Quotes: ~"What do you mean 'don't come back'? Like, don't come back tomorrow, or ever?" Seriously, how can he be so dense? "Ever. This was a huge mistake." He actually has the nerve to growl at me. Thank God he didn't whinny or I'd be puking right into my lap.-Loc 111 ~"How many times do I have to tell you that no one masturbates inside this building?" "And how many times do I have to tell you that I don't like it when you lie to me and crush my dreams,"-Loc 150 ~"Obviously if he's my dad, he'll be at this thing. I didn't just turn Brony, I was born this way."-Loc 1892

Another quick and hilariously fun read! All the characters from Love & Lists (chocoholics book 1) are in this one too and add to the zaniness. After finishing Ava & Tyler's Brony-filled romance, I couldn't resist a quick re-read of all the highlighted quotes/passages. I found myself chuckling all over again. More please!

Passion and Ponies was another hit. I LOVED IT. Initially I was worried that we were moving away from the main gang (because lets face it, they're hilarious), but this book had a perfect mix of the old and the new group of friends. Having the now "older" group in the mix did not take away from the story, it just added to it and now we have a new generation hilarious characters to love. And how cute is Tyler? I just loved both him and Gavin. Who knew Gavin would be so sensible! Omg, the twist in the end... I totally did not see that coming!

After reading a lot of book blogs that had such high reviews of this book, I decided I had to read it.  I'm really glad I did. The laughter never seemed to stop, page after page. All of the characters brought something to the story, and left me wanting to read more Tara Sivec books.
