Phuong Hoang was written by Nha Ca in the early 60s when she was still in her early 20s and her literary career just took off from a modest beginning. Strangely, this novel, which tells the story of a young girl who fell in love with her much older teacher, has never been published in the book form until now.

About the Author
Nha Ca is a celebrated woman writer in Vietnam. She has written and published scores of books, including novels, poetry and autobiography in Vietnam and abroad. Along with her husband, the poet Tran Da Tu, she is the co-founder of the Viet Bao Daily News, a major newspaper serving the Vietnamese communities in the US.
