About the Author

After 20 years of silence, Kordale Lewis bares all in his debut memoir, Picture Perfect? I bought this book as I wanted the back story to the infamous picture that went viral. I honestly picked up the book and read in about 3 evenings, it was hard to put down. Kordel has been through so much and has risen above his past, I love it when people get over the past and move on with their lives. I felt that Kordel was very open and honest and I praise him and Kaleb for telling their story. By telling their story, I know they help someone who is dealing with their sexuality. The Gay community needs more Kordel’s and Kaleb’s! Very inspiring story!

This was a good book with a lot of emotion. The focus on domestic abuse you would normally think would be depressing, but the author does a good job of getting the message across without getting too down. Abby was a great character who works hard to help her niece and nephew. Her feelings are strong and logical. Kurt is a very strong character as well, struggling to help his young son and dealing with falling in love again. The side characters were good and filled in the little town well. Good action scenes and lots of adrenaline as well.
