About the Author

Emily Morgan is the science leader for the High AIMS Consortium in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a former elementary science lab teacher at Mason City Schools in Mason, Ohio, and a seventh-grade science teacher at Northridge Local Schools in Dayton, Ohio. She has a bachelor of science in elementary education from Wright State Universityand a master of science in education from the University of Dayton. Emily lives in West Chester, Ohio, with her husband, son, dog, and two cats. Karen Ansberry is a teacher, writer, and nature lover. She has a Bachelor of Science in biology from Xavier Universityand a Master of Arts in teaching from Miami University. As the co-author of the Picture-Perfect STEM and Picture-Perfect Science series for elementary teachers, she provides professional development to help teachers learn to integrate STEM and reading. Before she was a writer, she worked at the Cincinnati Zoo and later taught elementary school for 20-plus years.
