Adorable characters, interesting people, and a mystery. Great story that pulls the reader through twists and turns as the plot unfolds and the Dawsons sweetly work together with their friends and solve another important case. The details in the historical setting come alive and will bring you to another time and place. I loved this book as a stand-alone, yet have read all of this series that have been released.

The depiction of the daily lives of domestic workers and the laws of the time were eye opening and very realistic. I enjoyed it tremendously.

I very much enjoy this series. It has such a rich sense of time and place with well developed characters for whom I've come to care. This story is an interesting look into the early days of the grand emporium stores. The twists and turns are quite engaging. I look forward to more stories by Ms. Locke

A well thought out tale which surprised me with the ending

Interesting. Kind of silly in places. How many buisnessmen would take business advice from a woman

Obviously a continuation. Characters not introduced properly with the assumption the reader will recognize them from an earlier book. Confusing so did not continue.
