This is a book of poetry and stories written during the latter part of the twentieth century. Each one addresses the turmoil, wonder, or gaiety of that time. On March 7, 1995, at the age of 96, the author passed away. In preparation for her funeral, Patterson read through her notebook. It was then that Patterson began to really know her.
