'Poor Folk'' - is a work by the classic author of Russian literature and one of the best novel writers in the world F. M. Dostoyevsky (1821 - 1881). This is the very first author's novel. It has an unusual composition - it consists of the poor official Makar Devushkin and his distant relative Varvara Dobroselova's letters. The author shows that "a little man" is powerless and humiliated and there is no one to protect him.
