Overview

Protecting Melody (SEAL of Protection Series #7) by Susan Stoker

Tex gave everything he had to his country and his SEAL teammates. When an IED took away part of his leg, and his career, he devoted himself to his country and friends from behind his computer. He's always been the man that can find anyone, that uses his computer skills, legal and illegal, to keep people safe and to put the bad guys behind bars.

But behind a computer is a lonely place to be. While he might put on a good front, Tex can't help but feel he's missing out when he sees how happy his friends are. But when the woman he's been talking to online for the last six months suddenly disappears without a word, Tex knows it's time to step up, and use his skills for himself this time.

**Protecting Melody is the 7th book in the SEAL of Protection Series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it's recommended you read the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.

I got the right book! So that problem must have been fixed. I enjoyed this read. Wish for 3.99 it was longer less than 172 pages.

I have read and enjoyed this series but I cannot help but wonder...exactly what are the credentials of an editor? I find myself in many e-books silently correcting the English language!!

Do not buy this book! Paid for Protecting Melody and it comes up as Protecting Fiona like some others. How can this be fixed, as I already bought the book? Please respond.

After much anticipation, I have had the chance to read the Protecting Melody, book 7 in the Protecting series by New York Times best selling author Susan Stoker. I would say Ms. Stoker saved the best for last... but there will be one more book Protecting the Future out in January 2016. iI have received an ARC from the author but already had it pre-ordered. I will not cover the overview, but will say the book has lived up to expectation. Tex has been a supporting character in the previous 6 books and I have looked forward to reading his and Melody's story. While each book is a stand alone, it's more interesting to read in sequence. The thing I really enjoy about the characters created by Ms. Stoker is the support and developing of relationships between the Seals and the heroines. The dynamics of the women who can be vulnerable yet strong and the men who are tough and protective of the ladies. This book takes you on an emotional roller-coaster ride. Starting with looking for a friend, to Baby(love that dog), handling the loss of Tex's leg, and helping solve the mystery of who is after Melody. It's a fast paced read from start to finish and definitely lived up to expectation. You will not be disappointed.

Have read all the other books and was glad to finally see Tex get his HEA

Dirty mouths make not a man a man nor a woman a woman. Sexy talk is a turn-on but filthy language is not; just a sign of immaturity. Could not connect with melody.

Good books

Glad Tex found his "one". Good read. Ok, thought the scene with the wounded dog was a bit much. Dog could have bled out while she was wallowing.

Tex is a former SEAL, having had to retire due to an IED taking out part of his leg. Due to his injury, he lives a self-induced exile in his home, primarily only socializing through his computer. One evening, he comes across a female lurker in a chat room and they start talking. 6 months later, they've formed a bond, even though the mystery woman keeps much of herself a secret. When she suddenly disappears from cyber-world, Tex is immediately worried. He sets his skills to use so he can locate and help her. This is the first book I've read about a vet whom has lost a limb in combat. The author did such a good job, I couldn't help but be completely pulled into the story. Regardless of his personal feelings, I found Tex to be 100% man and hero. Melody was also very well created as we got to know her more too. I really enjoyed this story. I couldn't put it down once I'd started it. I highly recommend it.

I have been waiting on Tex's story since the very beginning. Tex is the man behind the scenes. The guy who can find anyone and has saved all of the other team's women at some point in time without leaving his computer, until Melody. Tex falls for Melody through messages they send each other, but when she finds herself in trouble Tex won't stop until he finds and protects her. This was a great book and I loved Tex and Melody. Susan did not disappoint!!!
