About the Author

Colonel David Lange grew up on Long Island, New York and received his commission as an officer in the United States Air Force in 1988, after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy. A decorated combat veteran, he flew numerous combat, combat support, and humanitarian relief missions during his career and was awarded the prestigious Institute of Navigation Superior Achievement Award in recognition of his life-long accomplishments as a practicing navigator. After completing two Master’s degrees and holding a number of senior leadership positions, Colonel Lange retired from the Air Force in 2018, following 30 years of distinguished active duty military service, and returned home to New York. As a military officer, Colonel Lange authored several significant documents for the Department of Defense, contributed to a number of published articles, and served as an executive speech writer. During his lifetime, David has lived in ten states and two foreign countries and traveled to several dozen more foreign nations. Beyond sharing stories from his life, he is passionate about encouraging people to live authentically and appreciate all the things that make them unique and special. David shares a message of hope and gratitude and extols the importance of supporting each other to help make the world a better place for all of us and for future generations.
