This is a truly heart warming story told through the eyes of a dog, looking back at his life just before he dies. (Don't worry, you know that from the very beginning.) For anyone who has a place in their heart for dogs, this is the book for you. It is funny, heartwarming, inspiring and sometimes sad, but always a wonderful read. I have recommended this to so many people, and they all love it.

This book is one of the greatest books I have ever read! I do suggest that this book is well suited for young adults, but thats my opinion! It was perfect for me because I love animals and racing! I really makes racing in the rain sound easy but I bet it's WAY harder!

For many storys the ending is the worst part. You have become friends with the characters and then, suddenly they are gone. Not so with this story, at the end you will smile because this great author wrote it with hope. The whole book is an entertaining and different perspective about overcoming the trials of life, from the perspective of a dog. Overall, the feeling of satisfaction and pleasant warmth that every reader craves in a truely warming story is garunteed here.

The Art of Racing in the Rain has adult parts that this book doesn't have. It's age appropriate. I read it for the first time in fifth grade and loved it. So if you are a kid, this is the right book.
