I don’t know why I am surprised with every DK book, but I am. It is always an awesome surprise that really just makes me love this author more. Rather Be Wrong is more, to me, a psychological thriller. It will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end. The depth of her character development with Rod will take your breath away. This book is not only a love story between Heather and Rod, but the true testament of the human spirit when faced with something so vile that you have no choice, but self-survival. That is all I am going to say about that. I would also like to give a big THANK YOU to Ms. Kayn for her having a level headed, mature, strong female character. This is another reason I love this author. When all I read are simpering, drama filled heroines it is nice to read a character that knows her own mind and doesn’t put the hero through the ringer due to her own insecurities. This book shows that even though 2 people have baggage, they do not do let that stand in the way of their happiness and getting their HEA. It is rocky at times? You betcha Does it have the protective hero we love from DK? Abso-freaking-lutely Does it have the MC romance element we love so much in this genre? HECK YES! You might even learn something knew about MC terminology in this book! This is a 5 star read for me & a great start to 2017!
