This book and the whole trilogy was amazing. Although this book could be read as stand alone, I strongly recommend reading all three in order because it makes this book so much better. Everything came together in a Harry Potter-like way that was awesome. Ravishing Minerva repeats the timeline of the second book, How to Rescue Rapunzel, telling the story from Minerva's perspective and filling in what she and Oliver were doing while Thor and Angelica were in Egypt. The book then continues the timeline further and Oliver leaves England. We learn that there is a whole lot more to Minerva than we knew before, making her character much more real. The same can be said for Oliver. The two have their own wonderful adventure that forced me to read through the night to finish the book. I loved the ending, but I'm sad to see this series end. I would love to read more. I can't wait to see what this great author will come up with next.
Golly gee. This is the third and final book in this adventure story of Lady Annabel, the Marriage Broker and undercover agent of the British Crown. There are so many twists and turns, with heart pounding action, adventure, danger, love, romance, spanking, bad guys, spies and more. I think you should read the first 2 books in order to get a better understanding of the storyline and insight into the characters. I was given this book by the publisher for an honest review, the thoughts and opinions are mine.
I was very intrigued by this book. I read this as a stand alone because I don't think I have read any of the other books. However, I was very much caught up in this story. Minerva thinks that her evil husband may be trying to find her. He had beat her badly in the past or at least she thought he had when they had been practicing the master/slave relationship they both enjoyed. She felt betrayed and was now scared of him. Her foster brother Oliver had rescued her and unbeknown to her Oliver is deeply in love with her. He too shared a dark secret though. He also would love to share a darker relationship with Minerva but thinks that with her past she won't be able to. This book is full of intrigue and takes you from England to Canada and back again. It is full of spies, and intrigue and plots to kill Minerva. She just isn't sure if it is her estranged husband that is out to kill her or not. And of course Oliver is there by her side to keep her safe and to draw out her passions.
I WILL MASTER YOU YET, MY LOVE I enjoyed this story and this final book in the series of The Marriage Broker with Mrs. Minerva Pringle, an undercover operative in service to the Crown. She has shed her old life and identity of being Lady Annabel, wife of Dominic. With the aid of Oliver, a man who is half Indian and together, were raised as siblings, by Mohawk Indians, now they work together for the Crown to uncover French spies. The past is coming with destruction to follow. From London to Canada and back again this story will take many twists and turns and unexpected surprises. Can Annabel be free of a manipulative husband or will he once again have her in his clutches and hold her prisoner now that he is the Duke and needs an heir? The plot is full of interesting characters, mystery, suspense, buried secrets, desires and many wolves in sheep’s clothing. Anger, hatred, betrayal and deceit can be a powerful weapon and motive in bringing about destruction and death. Spies come on both sides and in disguise, easily to deceive the innocent with nefarious plans to assume a role they feel cheated from obtaining. For two people who have been so close to open eventually the eyes of someone you love, you will have to take drastic matters and allow passion to emerge. Warnings from a wise one come with messages to try and keep you safe. “The wolf still stalks you, but he is not alone.” “Trust your heart, my daughter; it will not fail you.” Maybe, just maybe, the one that you have believed to be evil, cruel, and brings you harm, will prove to love you enough to pay the ultimate price to keep you safe.
I’m so thrilled that the author gave us the story of Oliver and Minerva. I have loved these two characters since the beginning of the series and am excited to see the amazing chemistry between them come alive on paper. Minerva is an amazing lady that has faced hardship in her life and has used those experiences to grow into a very independent feisty person. Oliver is the strong silent man that always seems to be behind the scene offering support, strength and muscle when needed. This book provides the delightful story of how their relationship grows and blossoms. Of course, there is spanking involved as well as a wonderful supporting cast of characters, an evil villain and an interesting plot. This book definitely lives up to the previous two books in this series. Note, I was provided a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
