Don't know what happened with this one but it seems more like a draft than a final finished book. I've enjoyed others in the series but afraid to purchase more now after this one. I want my money back on this one, $3.99 is a lot for 130 pages of good and this was definitely not that. I'm not ready to throw away more $$ on new ones in the series. I need to be sure they won't be as inferior in quality as this one.

I contacted Calle J. Brookes about the problems with the book. She had no idea....something about corrupted files or something. Anyway, she sent me a fixed copy and I'm sure she's correcting the book available here. Amazing and truly caring author who has written yet another awesome book. All of the twists, turns and surprises that I've come to expect from Ms. Brookes. I can't wait for the next in the series.

Normally, I am a huge fan of Calle Brookes. However this book falls far short of her usual standard. The synopsis promises a great thing, but the novel does not deliver. We never truly fing out what happened to the main characters in the past, and it often feels like this book was published while still going through the editing process. Scenes are skipped over and then alluded to, characters are flat, and the writing is choppy. Overall, it feels like the author gave up in the middle of writing and just published it unpolished. I loved the idea of the book and am a huge fan of the series, but this does not match up. All I have to say to the author is "What happened to you?"
