Raphael, a Brethren Savior, an angel with a forgotten past, has lost his power to heal and is on a self-imposed guilt trip to get it back. If he can't, his tour of eternal duty as Brethren Savior will be revoked. On his journey, he winds up enmeshed in a web of attempted murder and resurrection, all thanks to a woman he's only seen in a photograph and by chance on an Arizona desert hiking trail.
Serena Sikes is a wanted woman. Desired by "undesirables" for a gift her brother gave her--a stolen relic with suspected healing powers. Hunted down in the Arizona desert and left for dead, she is found by none other than the angel who cannot heal.
Raphael and Serena are inexorably bound together, for locked deep within the relic's heart had lived the soul of his long lost wife. Now, it resides inside Serena. Evil lurks around every corner as Raphael tries to keep both Serena and his dead wife's soul alive and lustful temptation at bay.
Three souls bound together by an ancient relic, a timeless gift, and a love that is eternal.

A Brethren Angel, born to heal, has inexplicably lost his power to do so and is at a loss as to why. Little does he know that his next assignment will test him in more ways than one and bring him face to face with his past. Serena has received a gift from her troubled, wandering brother who, shortly after leaving the gift with her, disappears. Serena soon discovers that the gift he left her was probably the cause of his disappearance and could also cause her to lose her life. Deena Remiel has another hit in this series with Relic. Raphael and Serena are fated to heal each other but must go through much before it can happen and they can both find peace in their pasts and their futures. The Brethren Series is one of my favorites and it seems to grow stronger with each new book. Great story lines, strong characters, who can resist these gorgeous, tortured angels? Thanks for another great story Deena!
Deena Remiel is an amazing author! This is another well written story with everything spread out so there's never a dull moment from cover to cover. The Relic is a wonderful book about letting go of the past, forgiveness, and love. The Brethren take my breath away with their witty, down-to-earth, and totally devoted to goodness ways. It also helps that they are extremely good looking and very well built ;) Can't wait for more of their stories!!!
