Ripples in the River

A mother's love knows no bounds. Even beyond death.

As seen on Dateline, 48 Hours, The Discovery Channel, and Dick Wolf's Blood and Money (The Business of Divorce).

Soorya Townley was at the top of her game-one of Los Angeles' most sought-after massage therapists, trusted by Hollywood's elite, including Sting, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin. But her world shattered the day her daughter, Charla, was murdered.

The killer? Charla's own husband, Darren Mack, a successful businessman who harbored a terrifying darkness. On June 12th-the same date his idol, O.J. Simpson, murdered his wife-Mack brutally stabbed Charla in their garage while their young daughter was just feet away inside the home. He wasn't finished. Hours later, he aimed a high-powered rifle at a courthouse window and shot the family court judge overseeing their divorce.

With Charla gone, Soorya left everything behind-her thriving career, her home, her life in L.A.-to fight for the one thing that mattered: her granddaughter. But stepping into Reno's courtroom, she found herself up against a well-connected, powerful family determined to keep her out. With no wealth, no local allies, and no experience in legal warfare, Soorya had to become something she never expected-a warrior.

This gripping memoir is more than a true-crime story. It's a modern-day David and Goliath battle, a mother's journey through unthinkable grief, and a spiritual testament to the power of love. Soorya, a mystic, shares the extraordinary ways Charla continued to guide her from beyond, offering hope in the face of despair.
