Rocky Mountain Romance (Six Pack Ranch, #7) by Vivian Arend

~~**From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Vivian Arend.**~~

Second chances are the sweetest—and the hottest.

It took a spectacularly embarrassing break-up to knock Steve Moonshine Coleman off his lazy butt. In the ten months since that night, he's changed his ways. Now that Melody's back in town, it's time for this sweet-talking cowboy to convince her to get back in the saddle with him.

A return to her veterinary position in Rocky Mountain House was always in the cards for Melody Langley. Getting back together with Steve? Never part of the plan. He had lots of potential but zero ambition, and there's no way she'll accept anything less than a man who can keep up with her, in and out of bed.

But the new-and-improved cowboy is impossible to resist, so Melody issues a challenge. Three months to prove he's reformed. Three months of Steve orchestrating one sexual indulgence after another—‪wicked distractions from the old boys' club Melody faces at work and Steve's growing responsibilities‬.

He's got one shot to prove with more than words what's in his heart and soul.

Warning: Fifty percent less angst, twice as much filthy-talking, dirty-daring cowboy. Get ready for a whole lot of make-your-knees-weak wooing from a man intent on proving he's got what it takes, and the woman ready to push him way past his limits.

I am a huge fan of Vivian Arend, but this one left me underwhelmed. I hope it isnot a result of your move to a new publisher, Vivian. Waiting on your next release....

Vivian Arend does it again with the latest installment in her Six Pack Ranch series and ROCKY MOUNTAIN ROMANCE has everything a girl needs in a romance novel, hot cowboys, beautiful scenery and a good plot. Readers of Vivian Arend’s book set in the town of Rocky Mountain House were introduced to the Moonshine branch of the Coleman clan in the novella ROCKY RIDE, part of the Thompson and Sons spin-off series, where we met Anna Coleman. Now it’s her brother Steve’s turn. The plot is simple, ne'er-do-well must prove he’s worthy to the girl of his dreams. It’s a story of love lost and found again, always a pleasant and hopeful prospect. There’s tons of laugh out loud humor and good supporting characters. Steve’s siblings and parents are fun and solid characters who add much to his story. Fans will love the cameo by bad boy twin Jesse Coleman, whose appearance cements him as the most dislikeable character in the family. We find out more about Jesse and his rift with the family. If you want an uncomplicated read that gives you hope that it will all work out for the best, ROCKY MOUNTAIN ROMANCE is the book for you!

Rocky Mountain Romance by Vivian Arend is an entertaining read. Ms. Arend has given us a well-written book filled with fantastic, lovable characters. Melody is returning to her position in Rocky Mountain House after getting advanced veterinarian schooling. Steve turned his life around after Melody left for schooling and now wants a second chance. Their story is full of drama, humor, action and sexy bits. I enjoyed reading Rocky Mountain Romance and look forward to reading more from Vivian Arend soon. Rocky Mountain Romance is book 7 of the Six Pack Ranch Series and book 9 of the Rocky Mountain House Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Meiody and Steve have a history that is not so good. Because of this Melody is leary of giving a second chance. When Melody decides to give that second chance, it is a hot, sweet, fun ride.

As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by KittyKelly 4 out of 5 Licks I LOVE VIVIAN AREND!!!!! Ok now that we have that out of the way.  I'm so happy to be back with the Coleman crew.  It is impossible for me to let this family go and thankfully it must be just as hard for Viv cause she keeps on giving us more.  In Rocky Mountain Romance we get to know another one of the Coleman cousins. Steve clearly pissed off Melody, but he's ready to own up to his mistakes and win her back.  It's really hard not to like the version of Steve we meet in this book, but there are some not so great glimpses into his past that make you understand why Melody wasn't willing to stay with him.  These two are supper hot when they get naked together and Steve loves trying to find new things to do with her.  There were some times when I got frustrated with Melody and thought she was being to hard on Steve.  What's a relationship without a little self manufactured drama though.  lol  All in all Viv has given us another great addition to the Six Pack series.  I always think that the current book is my new favorite, but then I read the next one and it takes the top spot.  I can't wait for the next book!

"Rocky Mountain Romance" is written by Vivian Arend, and it is the 7th book in her Six Pack Ranch series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. This story features Melody Langley and Steve Coleman. Melody Langley is back in town and has taken up an offer to work again at Rocky Mountain House for a veterinary position. Steve Coleman has always regretted the way he and Melody broke up last year. He has been waiting for his opportunity to have another chance with her, and he wants to prove he's a different man. Their sex life was never the problem, or was it? After Melody and Steve talk one night, Melody taunted Steve by saying she thought he was too vanilla. But that can't be right. Steve is left speechless, and what happens next had me rolling. Steve reluctantly looked up non-vanilla sex on the computer to figure out how to get Melody's attention. Of course, this was also when his brother, Gabe, caught him looking said information up. But eventually, Melody agrees to give Steve another chance. After all, they have that history and their chemistry is still undeniable. Melody gives Steve 3 months to see if he's a changed man. Steve does everything to show he is, and of course, he shows Melody that their sex life is far from vanilla.  What I enjoyed about this "Rocky Mountain Romance" as the story progressed is how Melody and Steve's relationship grew. You could tell they were a different couple from last year. They talked through their problems. They supported each other. They learned to compromise. But most of all, they showed they truly loved one another. "Rocky Mountain Romance" is the first book that I've read by Vivian Arend, and I loved it! I genuinely enjoyed the Coleman clan! I may have started late in this series, but I can already tell I'm going to love the Coleman family much like I love Bella Andre's Sullivan family or Marie Force's McCarthy family. The Coleman family have that type of camaraderie that will make you laugh at their antics and appreciate the closeness amongst them. Looking forward to catching up on the rest of the Six Pack Ranch series, and I can't wait for the upcoming books! This is a must-read book!

Another great addition to this series. Loved the history that Steve had with Melody and how he vowed to be a better person than before and set out to prove himself worthy. Melody had her own worth to prove with being the only woman vet to the old ranchers when her boss leaves her in charge while he takes a vacation. Both have their battles to face but they learn to do it together. Great story and highly recommend.

It's been a while since I traveled to Six Pack Ranch, but now that I've devoured Rocky Mountain Romance I'm beating myself upside the head for not coming back sooner. This is a super sexy, and sweet book. Steve had me wondering where in good tarnations all the men who are like him are. And Melody, well she did second chances right. Keeping her guard up until the absolute perfect time to let Steve back in. I gobbled up this story. Between the heartfelt moments of Steve and Melody rekindling their romance, their inability to keep their hands of one another, and the perfect weaving of family within the pages, I couldn't get enough of this world.  I'm a huge sucker for a cowboy book. Rocky Mountain Romance has them... in spades. Vivian Arend has a gift for focusing on the main couple, while dropping intriguing hints about the stories to come. It wasn't obvious that she was paving the way for future Coleman stories, it just flowed with the story effortlessly. However, you can bet that I'm dying to know what happens with a few of my new favorite Coleman boys. Back to Steve and Melody's story though - their story is one of tremendous growth. The feelings that were evoked when the met up again struck a chord deeper than when they used to be together. And while Melody would love to keep him at arm's length, Steve has changed his way and is hell bent on showing Melody the man he is now. He doesn't half ass anything. This man brings out the sexiest coercion tactics I've ever seen. Soon enough Melody is at his mercy. He doesn't just want in her bed though. He wants in her heart and he'll do anything to prove it.  I want more Steve and Melody. I want their before story, their after story. Anything else I can get my hands on. They're a couple of little fuss, and pure cohesiveness. If you're looking for a seductive and playful book this is it. It's got that playful aspect, yet it as depth in its characters and storyline that is hard to come by. This is truly a feel good book, with a side of sexy that you will most definitely enjoy! 'I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review' Melody is returning home after a year of schooling. The one person that she doesn't want to see is Steve. When she left she dumped a pitcher of beer over his head. So why is it that the first thing she does when she gets back is drive by his place? Steve tries to convince her to give him another chance. That he has changed. Can she believe him? She gives him 3 months to prove it to her. Steve knows that he messed up with Melody and all he can think about is getting her back. So when she tells him that their sex life was good but a little too vanilla for her he now knows that he can be with her without holding back like he did before. He now has 3 months to prove to her that he has changed and that he can rock her world. My Opinion: I have loved every book that I have read by Vivian Arend and this book is no different. However this is the first book that I have read in this series. As I didn't get too lost I feel that this book can be read as a stand alone, although it really does seem as if I missed some interesting stories in previous books so I am eager to start this series from the beginning. This book was able to grab my attention from the beginning and hold it. The sexual scenes definitely got steamier as the book went on. I definitely recommend reading even if you haven't read any other books in the series. 'Read and Reviewed by LSK Sweetheart Reviews'

This book is hot, and sweet. All the things you look for in a romance. I liked Steve's character so much, he was not only hot but he shows you the changes he has done to become a better person. Melody is a strong female lead, she doesn't take crap from anyone and she does her job as a vet efficiently. I will say that the love scene are hot at times and sweet other times. It shows us how each of the main characters approach their new relationship and new lives. Even though this is a series you can read it alone. I just wish I would've read the other's first just so I know how the relationships that get mention happens but that's a personal preference.  This is definitely a book you should check out.

Melody returns to Rock Mountain for her dream job at the Veteranary clinic. She knows that there will be many challanges to the job but if she ignores one tall sexy lazy cowboy, named Steve Coleman, she can succeed. One thing leads to another and all her good plans go out the window. Challanges get issued and the battle is on. Unfortunately for Steve Melody does not expect to lose Steve Coleman has waited for Melody to return back home ever since they had a very public and very embarrassing break up. She let him know in no uncertain terms that his lazy ways were to much for her to handle and she was no longer going to deal with it. Steve of course realizes, when she leaves, that she was the best thing that ever happened to him. He decides from the very first day she steps back into town, he will prove that he has changed and earn his way back into her heart and of course back into her bed! I received this book as an ARC from netgalley for my honest review. But I would also like to say that I have previously purchased every other book in this series in the past. This book was great it had all the fire and romance that Vivian Arend brings to the other books in the series. I loved the chemistry between Steve and Melody but I also love that we get some updates on the other couples from the previous novels in the series. I loved that this story was not sugar coated, they touched on a very important topic of women working in jobs that a lot of people would not expect them to do. Vivian did a good job of showing that Melody was a woman in every way and that she was not afraid of hard work and would not back down from the ignorant people of the world. Not to leave out Steve he was, he definitely made me want to save a bull and ride a cowboy! He showed how hard it was to protect and support a woman like Melody and still show that more than one person can wear the pants in the relationship. But hey he enjoyed the journey to figure out what a women like Melody needs! Great book can't wait for the next one!

The Cowboy and the Veterinarian... A second chance romance... Melody's parting words and a pitcher full of beer in the face made an impression. Steve wanted to become a better person and do all that he could to get her back. After being away for awhile to learn more for her chosen profession, Melody returns to town... and comes face to face with Steve. He wants a chance to show her he has changed, but she is not convinced. While they deal with their attraction, she also has to deal with some of the town folk believing she cannot do her job. Very entertaining interactions between all of the characters. It was great to revisit a bunch of them that we have seen before in other books. I really enjoyed seeing the romance between Steve and Melody develop and grow. This book was a truly wonderful read! What a great addition to the series!

I have been a huge fan of these novels and characters but I just couldn't build any interest in Melody or Steve. This book was quite simply…boring.  My advice would be to save your money and skip this one if you are looking for the chemistry  seen in previous novels.
