***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review***Victoria and Andrew's love affair is so up and down. Once Andrew fell in love with Victoria there was no turning back. He loved her more than anything. She came before his family, his country and his life. Even when he learned that she was unable to bear a child it made no difference to him. He would find a way for them to be together. She finally accepts his proposal of marriage but when it came to the return of the scepter and the connecting Valley land, she changed her mind again. She was not willing to let Montovia go to war over her. The King has had surgery and is feeling differently about Victoria and Andrew's love.Wiliam has come to terms with King Maximilian and he will marry Justine. She is not happy about this arrangement. But this allows Andrew and Victoria to be married.
This is one series that I will be reading again. All the trials Andrew and Victoria go though makes this story worth reading more than once.
I really enjoyed this series. My only issue was with the back and forth between Victoria and Andrew, should she stay or go? That got a little tiresome after a bit. I wanted Victoria to be a bit more decisive and Andrew to stop behaving so foolish at time. I was glad to see Reginald get a taste of his own medicine for a change. And I was a bit surprised at the ending, especially how the situation was resolved. But I won't tell you need to read it for yourself. I was gifted this book as ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
So good! I truly didn't want it to end! Royal Mistake #6 unfolds like a beautiful rose opening one petal at a time. Our authors paint a glorious picture of the Montovian country, events and traditions. We see the royal family drawn together in the midst of personal and national crisis. But even the most beautiful rose has thorns! Victoria shows her strength and bite in defense of her love and the country of her heart as she challenges that cad Reginald in front of the good citizens of Montovia. Words exchanged and swords drawn, the outcome gutwrenching. Hearts are once again challenged to keep beating as we agonize through the very real struggles overwhelming Andrew and Victoria. Somehow, someway, Victoria and Andrew prevail with, unbeknownst to them, help from William. What has William done????
Great conclusion to Andrew and Victoria's story. Through all of the books, I have been rooting for Andrew and Victoria to find a way to get their happily ever after. When Andrew finally declared his love for Victoria at the end of the last book, I thought their path would be clear, but of course it never is. I loved watching Andrew, who has become a completely different person since meeting Victoria, stop at nothing in his fight to be with Victoria. He is determined that they will be together even when Victoria doesn't see a way. I loved to watch him fight for her with everything that he had. My opinion of the spoiled, arrogant guy we met early has completely changed. I absolutely adore Andrew and this family. I loved seeing more of Leo and Elle in this one, too. Great series!
