Wonderful recipe book for gourmet salads, using fresh tasty ingredients. Please note that most ingredients are not common ingredients you have on hand so you will have to make buy special ingredients. I found many recipes in here that are great for my low carb lifestyle, being diabetic I have to be careful of what I eat.  After most recipes they show you how to make the mason jar version. Mason jar salads are great to pre make and stick in your fridge, the ingredients are layered in the jar and stay fresh for up to a week. Perfect for on the go, healthy gourmet lunches!

I love salads and I found this book to have some great salad ideas. I wish the book had more pictures showing the salads but other than that I though thought this book was great. I especially loved the fruit salads . They will be great for me to make my family this summer.

I found this to be exceptionally inspiring! I struggle with lack o food creativity, often, and this book has opened my eyes to some new food combinations! I love the recipes, and the dressings... They sound so delicious, and I can't wait to try them all!

The book offers an array of salad options from vegan, fruit, grains and pastas. It also includes a lot of salad dressing recipes that are simple to make. The book goes into great detail on how to construct and make your salad so the ingredients don’t get squishy or drooping. If you’re trying to live healthy or eat a healthy meal this is definitely a good book for you has lots of healthy recipes.

My wife is the salad eater of the family but with some of the salads she made out of this book I actually loved them too.  In this book is a section that helps you break down the clean veggies to buy non organic and the dirty ones that you should never be bought unless they are Organic.  It has a section that teaches you what pairing is great for the type of lettuces you use and what kind of dressings to use and make.  They teach you layer your salad like a pro.  Guess what it even has fruity salads and they taste great!   Overall we really love this book and think it is a hit in the kitchen!

Who knew the endless possibilities that a salad could have? I have always loved a good salad but lately since I have been trying to manage my weight I have been eating them frequently. The same routine does get boring , lettuce, cheese , cucumbers. Pretty basic huh?? Reading this book opened my eyes to a world of different salads. I have tried 4 of the salads I read about so far and they were delicious!! If you enjoy a delicious salad and are sometimes bored of the same routine this book is a must read !

The book begins by defining some common salad terms and addressing their benefits, texture, and taste.  This  helped me prepare my first gourmet salad. I now know what will most likely pair with a certain flavor. You will begin  to want to try new flavors and combinations once you see how easy the recipes are for a salad beginner. You'll  discover how to layer a salad for the best taste. Honestly, this book amazed me because I never knew layers  were as important as the ingredients. It definitely helps when you aren't already a salad person to follow this guide  carefully. You'll turn into a salad maniac like myself. Since reading this book I have looked at eating healthy in a  new light. I can now get others to eat healthy with me because I can whip up a nice tasty salad. If you're on a  weight-loss journey I suggest this book.

Salads That Inspire has given me a lot of new salad ideas: from new dressings to entirely new salads, I will never run out of new recipes to try with this cookbook. I love the 60+ prep-to-go mason jar salad recipes with specific layering instructions which help to keep the ingredients from getting soggy. I think this cookbook is amazing, and I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone who enjoys salads or who wants to eat more salads.

I have been trying to find more creative ways to eat healthy and this book has really inspired me. The Chicken Salad recipe is to die for! I have tried a few others and I simply just love them! My family seems to be enjoying trying new ideas from Salads that Inspire, I like that everyone is trying these new things and keeping a watch out on the calories. I like that the book makes it easy to follow, and the layout is  wonderful! In the book it gives you a lot of guidance, however I wish there were more pictures but I think you just have to use your imagination  when it comes to that part. I have already used this book several times and even made some salads for little get togethers  with my family and friends.

This book does inspire me to think creatively about what can go in my salad! Layering  some fresh ingredients into mason mason jars to take with me for lunch causes me to bypass the fast-food drive thru and eat healthier.  If you need some motivation to   help in getting out of a habit of just grabbing a pre-made bagged salad at the grocery store, this book can really help!

Salads that Inspire is a book for everyone who loves salads. If you think a salad is just some type of lettuce and salad dressing think again. This book is filled with tons of wonderful salads using all kinds of ingredients like vegetables, seafood, pasta, chicken, meats and so much more. Love to take a salad on the go but it always gets soggy? This book lets you know how to make a salad to go that is always fresh and crisp. This book is my new favorite I am sure it will be yours too!

I didn't know what to expect when I initially purchased this book. I've been trying to eat healthier so I figured, salads. I had no idea that salads could be so yummy and filling. This book gives you a vast array of options. Not to mention, you learn to make your own dressings as well. It's definitely a winner in my book!

There is so much more to this book than I expected. From the cover, I assumed it would include a variety of toppings paired with leafy greens. Though that was the only picture, there was a lot more variety to the actual recipes. From fruit salad to bean salad, seafood salad to potato salad, there was a lot more here than your typical fare. After the recipes, additional topics included tips for choosing the best produce.  **I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

I was prepared to read a cookbook that told me how to jazz up the salads that I currently eat but boy was I wrong.  This book had fruit, pasta, bean, seafood and many more salads that never even crossed my mind.  Every recipe gave ingredients and alternative ingredients (for those who are picky like me). I loved that there were recipes for homemade dressing that came with each of the salads listed. Even better was the fact that there were diagrams of how to pack your salads in a Mason jar for the week without having a soggy salad on Friday at work.  My family’s favorite salad was the Pineapple mango salad with cayenne dressing. The refreshing flavors of these tropical fruits with the spicy dressing was something that we could not pass up.

Inspiring Indeed Usually when I think of a salad I picture a bunch of lettuce on a plate topped with everyday vegetables, which is fine because a typical salad is delicious. This book showed me that there is much more to salads than I knew. In this book there is a section about meat salads which I hadn’t thought of before. It’s nice because not everyone feels like a traditional salad all the time.

If you thought salads are just bowls of lettuce, tomato, cheese, and some dressing think again. Salads That Inspire has changed the way I see this underappreciated meal. By the time you're finished going through this cookbook, you'll have dozens of new salads to add to your weekly meal plans, including some dessert salads that are out of this world!

This book is ahhhmazingggg! I have never been so impressed by a salad! I use to dread salads because I mean come on its jsut lettuce and some veggies right? wrong. After a visit with my doctor and him telling me that I am over weight, I began to worry about my future and I knew I had to cut down on the garbage food. So I picked up this book, and let me tell you these salads are yummy and you wont feel guilty afterwards!

This salad book has a recipe for every salad imaginable! Potato salad? Check! Pasta salad? Check! Bean salad? Check!  So many salads!  I am actually vegan, but I find that moat of these salads are easy to adapt to my dietary needs. Many of the salad in this book are really impressive, but simple to make. The recipes call for common, familiar ingredients,  so you can get started without driving to a bunch of stores searching for ingredients you've never heard of.  I feel like the recipes are well-thought out, and each salad ingredient has been carefully selected to compliment the other ingredients in the recipe.  I'm particularly excited about the variety of dressing recipes. Nothing beats homemade! I highly recommend this salad recipe book - it's getting me out of a boring salad rut!

This book is really informative when it comes to mason jar salads and the diagrams to go with making them. Individual salad recipes even have diagrams for how to layer them in a jar. Not every recipe had a picture though, which is disappointing. Also, some of the ingredients aren't that common, which I find off-putting.
