Chapter One

Two years later

St. Augustine, FL

Carly let the sunshine hit her face and sighed. A whole afternoon. One entire afternoon off and she was doing what with it? Meeting some ridiculously hot guy at a restaurant who would take one look at her, turn, and run. Drew. His name was Drew and the picture the matchmaking company had sent showed a blond man in his thirties who should probably be on the cover of a magazine. Had it been an online service, she might have felt more comfortable. People on those always used the absolutely most flattering picture they could. Sometimes they were years old and pounds of weight ago. Sometimes they were flat-out lies.

But the service she was using actually took the picture themselves. No lies. No hedging the truth. He was that hot.

She hesitated on the street outside the restaurant. It was a tiny Italian place in the middle of the old city. She loved this part of St. Augustine, with its cobblestone streets and tourists walking around. The sea was never far from here and she could feel a breeze from the Atlantic.

What was she doing? Why was she even trying?

Her cell rang, the sound emanating from her massive bag. It had to be massive because she was forced to carry around anything Patricia might need. That was her. She was a walking, talking convenience for the Antichrist.

Who was probably calling to revoke her afternoon off. Patricia rarely giveth, but she was awfully good at taking away.

This was one time it might come in handy. She grabbed her phone and frowned as the real reason she was standing in front of a restaurant wearing her finest Spanx and more makeup than normal was smiling from the screen. She flicked her hand across, accepting the call. "Hey, Meri. I thought you were finishing up class."

"I got out early and I wanted to make sure you're where you're supposed to be."

Sometimes her sister's instincts were scary good. "I'm at the restaurant, but only to tell him I changed my mind. This was a mistake."

Meri groaned. "No, it's not. Come on, Carly. I read the file on this guy. He's hot."

"How did you read the file?" Not that she should be surprised. Along with good instincts, Meri also had the tenacity of a pit bull with a particularly juicy bone.

"I took a peek last week when I was at your place."

"That's called invading my privacy." She tried her best big-sister voice.

It didn't faze Meri at all. "Yes, it's my favorite hobby! And that Drew guy is superhot. They should have the dudes take their shirts off."

"Hello, sexist much? What are they teaching you at that school?"

"That men have objectified women for thousands of years and we need to catch up. When he gets there ask him if he has those notches on his hips. That is so hot."

"I'm not asking him to strip down. I'm asking him to leave," she admitted. "I'm not ready for this. Even if I was ready for this, it wouldn't be with him. I want a nice, normal guy. One who isn't a felon. That's a hard line for me."

"Not every man in the world is Roger," Meri pointed out.

No, they weren't, but that one mistake wouldn't seem to go away. She thought about the message she'd gotten a few days before. Her husband owed money and they were coming after her for it. She'd tried telling them they were divorced and she wasn't responsible for some debt he'd taken on in prison, but apparently the mob wasn't big on divorce.

She put it out of her head. She would go to the cops. It would all go away. First she needed to deal with the problem of hot Drew and her sister's need to get her laid.

"I know that. But it was really bad and I need more me time."

Meri sighed over the line. "It's been two years. It's going to dry up. I learned that in my anatomy class. If you don't use it, a vagina turns to dust."

Her sister was so nasty sometimes, but Carly had to laugh. "Well, I will sweep that sucker up, then, because it's gotten me into a lot of trouble in the past." She sighed, missing her sister since she transferred to Duke. "I'll meet him and talk to him, but don't expect more than that."

"It's all I ask," Meri replied, sounding chipper. "Well, and that you give me all the dirty details. Tell me something. Have you thought about dumping Patricia the Terrible and moving up here with me? I found a job at the school you would love."

Yeah, she likely would. And then her sister might see the inside of a prison cell. Two more years. She had two more years until the statute of limitations ran out and her sister was free and clear. "You know I love my job."

There was a pause on the line. "I know you say that. I don't know how much I believe it. All right. I love you. Call me later and tell me everything and stop frowning."

The line clicked and she put her phone back in her bag. She wasn't frowning. Well, maybe a bit. The waitress showed her to a table on the patio overlooking the street.

She would smile, shake his hand, and they would both laugh about the mistake. They were horrifically mismatched.

She glanced down at the menu. Of course, he might not show at all. She might get to sit here in the sun and have a lovely meal that didn't include salad and she would pull out her tablet and read. That would be awesome. Lasagna and a book. Maybe a glass of pinot and some cheesecake. All alone.

She was sure that sounded pitiful to some people, but it was the perfect afternoon for her. Peace, quiet, solitude. No overbearing bosses or their lecherous husbands. If that man accidentaly touched her ass one more time, she wasn't going to care that he was eighty-seven. He would get a colonoscopy the hard way. She would shove that cane of his right up his keister.

She glanced out and saw a man walking up the street. Whoa. Now, there was a man she could look at for days. With dark hair that curled around his ears, he looked like a movie star. She noticed two other women stopping to stare at him as he passed.

Was there a movie filming in town? No. Patricia always knew about those. She would try to get the stars to give her magazine an interview or get them on her show to talk about home decorating tips.

Of course, Patricia had been distracted lately. Ever since she'd come back from the funeral of an old business partner, she'd been distant, not quite her old evil self. Oh, she humiliated Carly at least twice a day, but she lacked the vigor and glee she used to have.

Carly had to wonder if Steven Castalano had been the one true love Patricia had talked about that night when she'd gotten too drunk, the day before her wedding when she'd acted almost human. That was the night she'd seen the devil cry.

Five more minutes and she would declare herself free and clear. Maybe she would switch restaurants in case this Drew guy was the kind of man who showed up super late to a date. Columbia wasn't far away. She could get some sangria and Cuban food.

Anything to enjoy her one afternoon to herself. Soon they would go back to LA and the guesthouse she stayed in there. It was close to Patricia's Santa Monica mansion. Close enough that she could be at Patricia's side in less than a minute. She knew that because Patricia had timed her and told her not to go over that minute. The guesthouse was nice, but it had nothing of Carly in it. She would miss her townhouse.

Two more years. Just two more years.

She watched as the incredibly hot man walked her way. Not hers, of course, but in the general direction she was sitting in. Not general. Actual. He was walking right toward her, and that was when the grin hit his face.

When his lips curled up, he went from brooding god to an angel. The dark, fallen kind who could do all manner of dirty things because they weren't stuck up in heaven anymore.

When the hell had she gotten so creative?

He pulled out the chair across from Carly. "Hey, my name is Brandon Lawless."

She looked around. This was some kind of joke. It had to be. Or he was seriously mistaken. He didn't look drunk, but some guys hid it well. "Um, you have the wrong girl."

His grin moved to a full-out smile and she had to catch her breath. "Nope. I've got the right girl. Carly, your boss murdered my parents twenty years ago. What do you say you help me bring her to justice?"

"Are you insane?" She looked around again. There was definitely a camera hidden somewhere. She wouldn't put it past some network to talk Patricia into pranking her assistant. She would do it in a heartbeat if she thought it would help her image.

"Not at all. I'm quite serious."

So pretty and so crazy. "Look, I'm waiting for a date so I don't have time to talk." Something about what he'd said earlier clicked in her brain. "How did you know my name?"

He sat back, his eyes piercing into her. "I know everything about you."

A chill went through her as she realized exactly who this person could be. "Who sent you?"

He frowned, the expression marring his beauty not one bit. "Sent me? No one. You were supposed to meet with my brother, but he was going to confuse things and turn this whole operation into one big spy game. Our sister married a guy who's kind of a spy. He works for the CIA from time to time. I think Drew's jealous of Case. He's always thought he would make a good James Bond. But our last spy thing went horribly wrong and my new sister-in-law got arrested and almost walked out on Riley and . . . I should start at the beginning. First off, call me Bran. Everyone does. I'm not fond of Brandon."

He talked superfast. She didn't understand most of what he was saying, but she needed to get her point across. "Tell DiLuca that I don't care what Roger is doing in prison. His debts are no longer mine. Get with the damn twenty-first century. We're divorced. Shiv him or something. I don't care, but stop harassing me."

She started to push her chair back. "You heard me. Tell your boss I'll go to the cops if he calls me again."

She stood to go, but he was faster. He got into her space, his hand shooting out to grasp her wrist. The touch sent a wave of heat through her. He didn't tighten his grip or try to force her to sit back down. The hand that wrapped around her was gentle and his eyes softened.

"Are you in trouble, sweetheart? Because I can help you."

She almost believed him. "You can let me go."

His hand dropped immediately but he was still in her space, his big body towering over her. She wasn't tiny but this man made her feel practically petite. "I can't. Please let me explain myself. I'll pay for lunch and everything. I'm not from this DiLuca person. He's not my boss. My brother would tell you he's the boss of me, but I protest. He'll probably try to fire me for fucking this up, but I don't think you can fire your little brother."

He was so close but somehow she didn't feel overwhelmed or threatened by him. His words were almost sweet. Still, she knew her instincts were a faulty thing. "I should go. I don't know what's going on with your brother, but it's none of my business."

"Let me make it your business. Carly, I've studied you and I think you're a good woman trapped in a nasty world. My parents were in your position twenty years ago and Patricia Cain murdered them. I don't want that to happen to you. Please let me make my case. If you can look at me and tell me the Patricia Cain you work for isn't capable of murder, then I will apologize for interrupting your afternoon and let you be. If you can't, please help me. I'm not looking for revenge. I'm looking for justice. For my parents."

There was absolutely nothing in his manner or demeanor that told her he was lying. This gorgeous man was asking her for help and she wanted to turn him away. Years of working under that woman and her marriage to Roger had turned her cold and uncaring of anyone but her sister. It was the only way to protect herself. She would do the smart thing and simply walk away.

Carly moved back, her hand on her chair as she began to sit down. He immediately moved in, holding the chair for her and easing her back to the table.

She was still the same idiot she'd been years ago, and suddenly there was something comforting about that knowledge. She wasn't as hard as she'd thought. The minute the chance to help someone else had come up, her dumb ass was sitting back down and trying to do the right thing.

"Hey, are you all right?" He was standing above her and his hand came down, thumb running over her cheek to catch the tear she hadn't realized she'd shed. "I don't want to hurt you."

She took a deep breath. "I'm fine. Please tell me your story because we both know that she's capable of anything."

It was a risk. He could have been sent here by Patricia herself to test Carly's loyalty, though Carly doubted it. Patricia was too self-centered to think Carly could hurt her.

Yes, it was a risk, but maybe it was a risk that would pay off.

He sat back down across from her and picked up his menu. "Lunch is on me. It's a long story. I think we'll need some wine."

She nodded. She could definitely use a drink.

She was so much more beautiful up close, where he could see her small expressions and the way her eyes lit up when the wine was placed in front of her. He'd watched her carefully, taking in all the tiny tics that made up who she was. Her lips had curled up as she'd taken a sip of the rich pinot noir she'd requested.

Pay close attention here please. First this is an awesome series. Worth EVERY penny. Secondly why give an author a bad review before you even read ? Also an important note is that if you can't read it once you buy it then it's on Barnes and Noble not the Author. Call Barnes and Noble to get it fixed!

Satisfaction is book two in Lexi Blake’s latest series Lawless and was just as great as the first book. The Lawless brothers Riley, Drew, Brandon, and their sister Mia, are bound and determined to seek revenge on those they hold responsible for their parents’ murders 20 years ago. Separated after their parent’s death and out into the foster care system, the siblings fought to regain control of their lives whilst actively seeking revenge. Their lives were not easy, particularly Bandon’s and it is from this that they draw their strength and their commitment to seek justice for their parents. When the opportunity arises for Brandon to get close to Carly Hendricks, the personal assistant to Patricia, one of the people responsible, he jumps at the opportunity. Brandon realises quickly that he wants more from Carly and struggles with his feelings and in fact opens-up to her about his “mission”. When circumstances put Carly in danger, Brandon knows he has no choice but to fight for her very life. Brandon has struggled throughout his life, not believing that he deserves love and happiness. Will Carly be the one to make a difference? Brandon’s history is at times heartbreaking and certainly made for an emotional read at times. The chemistry between Brandon and Carly was sizzling. There was mystery, intrigue, suspense, hot alpha men and as you can expect from most books from Ms. Blake some moments of humour. I love Lexi Blake’s writing style; no one does romantic suspense like she does. Brandon and Carly deserved to find happiness after the heartbreak and tragedies of their pasts. Satisfaction is one of those books that in many parts, you read and go, wait, no, did that really happen? I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series particularly since Satisfaction ended on such a cliff-hanger and I cannot wait for Revenge. These books are like peeling an onion, one layer at a time until the mystery is solved. I would suggest that you read them in order.

Brandon Lawless is the youngest brother in the Lawless clan. His job of late has been to help his brothers’ and sister get revenge for their parents’ deaths. He will do whatever it takes to get the information they need to bring their killers to justice. Including seducing the enemy’s personal assistant the fact that she is beautiful and innocent has made it a bit more complicated for Brandon. She is exactly the kind of girl he would love to have a normal life with to live the rest of his life with in peace. But he’s no good, he can’t live a normal life he has too much baggage. He can’t resist her sweet innocence and he refuses to lie to her in order to get what he wants. I loved that Brandon was honest with Carly from the moment he met her. Instead of following the big elaborate scam his brother Drew came up with for Drew to date her and woo her into getting them the goods on her boss. Brandon saw something in Carly from the moment he laid eyes on her. They were such a perfect couple. They both try to resist the sexual tension between them. They soon find out it is a futile effort. Carly Hendricks was a sweetheart I loved her. I adored how she protected her sister, I loved how she wouldn’t let Drew’s attitude and sarcasm get the best of her. She is a tough cookie dealt a bad hand by her nasty boss and life in general. The chemistry between Carly and Brandon was awesome every touch was like the first time. They both shared an innocence that was endearing. Brandon never had this kind of connection with a woman as an adult. This series has quickly become another favorite of mine. I crazy about the sibling relationship that Drew, Riley, Brandon, and Mia share. They are bonded by the tragedy in their lives but they also love each other and want what’s best for the other to be happy. The funny banter they share especially when they all gang up on Drew was hilarious. There are a lot of twists, turns, and revelations to be had throughout the book. Brandon opens up to Carly about his time in the system as a kid and the things that happened to him are heartbreaking. I cannot wait for Drew and Shelby’s story she is going to give him a run for his money for sure. Another fantastic read by Ms. Blake.

This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: Rating: 3.5 Stars When I read the first book of this series, I fell in love immediately. A brilliant story of revenge that includes espionage, deception, and scandal. It’s an addicting premise for any fan of suspense. But what makes that premise spectacular is the characters who help to make it unfold before your very eyes. So when Satisfaction was released, I was thrilled that I’d see more of what made the first book of the series so great. Or would I… Satisfaction starts right where Ruthless left off. Ms. Blake throws you right back in to the lives of the Lawless siblings with full force. Naturally, I’m hooked. Our sibling this go-round, Brandon (otherwise known as Bran), is sexy. He’s internally fighting his need for revenge, but he’s also got a certain old-fashioned charm to him that is undeniably attractive. So when he meets Carly, his enemy’s assistant, I was thrilled at the idea of their romance exploding before me with all kinds of chemistry. Except… it never did. Now, don’t get me wrong. Lexi Blake knows how to write some extremely steamy scenes. She just… gets it. But all eroticism and steaminess aside, the needed connection between Carly and Bran was just never there for it to be a truly believable romance. Something with the two of them was just off for me. I’m not sure if it was Bran’s self-wallowing, or Carly’s insecurities and lack of compassion for those around her… or if it was just that their personalities weren’t compatible. Either way, this was the one area of the book that truly lacked for me. That being said, this was still a solid story. Ms. Blake is a fantastic story-teller with a unique voice. Satisfaction may not have been as good as Ruthless, but she still manages to continue the saga of the Lawless siblings the best way she knows how – with sizzle. ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own*** (less)

Excellent book and WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Lexi Blake delivered another "edge of your seat" book. There are many twists and turns; and when you think you have it figured out...think again. Can't wait for the next book in this series, Revenge.

Satisfaction By: Lexi Blake 5 Star Review by Kristie K Lexi Blake is a true mistress of sensual, seductive, and breathtaking suspense… Brandon Lawless and his brothers run their own business…but their primary goal is revenge. When the perfect opportunity to get close to their nemesis presents itself through the gorgeous, and innocent Carly Fisher. Unwilling to deceive her, and much to the chagrin of his older brother, Brandon puts the fate of their mission, and ultimately his heart, in her hands. Carly Fisher works for evil incarnate. Her boss is the epitome of vicious, wicked, and corrupt…and kind hearted Carly is caught in her web. When a gorgeous, sweet, and strong hunk of a man shows up with a proposition for her, Carly has to choose between playing it safe, or standing up for what’s right. Doing the right thing has never felt so dangerous, Carly stands to lose more than just her job…her life, and her heart are in jeopardy. Holy horde of monkey balls, this book was amazing!! Ms. Blake has always managed to find the perfect balance of hot, sexual chemistry, gut-wrenching betrayal, and mind boggling suspense…Satisfaction is no exception! From the very first word, to the very last, I was absolutely hooked. A major book hangover is being treated as we speak, but I am certain the only cure will be the next installment of the Lawless series. Brandon Lawless is the perfect blend of sweet, strong, gorgeous, and broken. I want him for my own. Carly Fisher is his perfect match, strong in her own right, but kind, sassy, and innocent. The characters were incredibly well developed, the storyline and plot flawless, and the plot twists kept me guessing and always on my toes. The Rolling Stones ain’t got nothing to complain about here…I definitely got my Satisfaction. Kristie K

I'm waffling between 3.5-4 stars on this one.. Brandon and Carly's relationship made me feel like I was riding a roller coaster. It was chock-full of emotions that ran the gamut from self doubt and insecurities to happiness and joy. While I do think Bran and Carly had decent physical chemistry, I felt their relationship was just a band-aid for deeper emotional wounds neither had dealt with yet. For me, that made their emotional side of their relationship not as believable and was a much harder sell for me to sink into. Picking up where RUTHLESS ended, SATISFACTION jumps straight into a riveting, suspenseful, and sometimes thought-provoking read. Although Bran and Carly's romance fell flat for me, the overall plot was a fantastic entry to this trilogy! Ian's sarcastic wit and charm alone was worth my time. The plot twist was quite crafty, in a chilling sort of way, and sets the perfect tone for Drew's story in REVENGE. SATISFACTION is book two in the series, but can easily be read as a stand alone.

Heat and suspense! I was so happy to read the second installment of the Lawless series. Along with Bran being so in depth, there is Carly, a strong heroine and I love the banter that I have come to love in Lexi Blake's books.

✦Review: SATISFACTION (A Lawless Novel) by Lexi Blake Publication Date: January 3, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Cori Rated: 4.5 Stars Bran is my favorite Lawless bother! I loved his story and completely fell in love with him. The Lawless series is a spinoff of Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries series. The series will have a book for each of the brothers in the Lawless family, but their sister Mia has a book in the Masters and Mercenaries series, Dominance Never Dies. You don't have to read it before picking up the Lawless Series, but if you want to follow the complete storyline I'd read it first. The Lawless Series is all about the Lawless siblings seeking vengeance for their murdered parents. Bran is the youngest Lawless brother and Carly is the PA to the woman the Lawless siblings think murdered their parents. Their story was full intrigue, danger, suspense and smoking hot romance. It's a hot romance series with a mystery that keeps the reader guessing. I highly recommend this series and can't wait for the oldest brother's book. *Review copy provided by Penguin in exchange for an honest review.

Satisfaction 5 Satisfied Stars This is the second book of the Lawless series and one I have been anticipating since finishing Ruthless, this book centres on Brandon Lawless who is the youngest male sibling! I have to admit I didn't think Lexi could top Ruthless, it was a book that intrigued me and kept me wanting more throughout but for me Satisfaction completely won out! This book grabbed my attention from the outset, I haven't been able to put it down since I started it and have finished it in one long sitting! Lexi's writing draws me straight into the heart of the book and pulls me in more and more every page I read. There are so many different layers and you feel like you've just got one uncovered when you find the next layer waiting to be torn away! The suspense is well built and never overdone nor is it skimmed over, it's always well thought out and developed. I knew Bran was going to steal my heart but I don't think I realised just how much! His story really pulled on my heart strings and there were times my heart literally ached for the feelings he had about himself! He was so much more loveable that Riley, don't get me wrong I did love Riley in his story but Bran's character just had so much more of an appeal to me. The way he treated women and especially Carly endeared me to him and there were times I just wanted to steal him for myself. Carly was such an amazing heroine for me, she has had some really bad luck but her good nature and her kind heart never lost their sparkle. She was a great influence on Bran. She has definitely been my favourite woman in the series so far. I feel like I have a vested interest in this family and the secrets they are trying to uncover, that's Lexi's gift! She makes you feel as if you are living this alongside these characters and have just as much to lose as them. There were times in this book I had to stop reading as my eyes had misted over and I had to have a little cry and then there were times I was sitting biting my nails wondering where she was leading us next!! There is no way I could have anticipated what happened in the epilogue and Lexi is an evil genius for leaving me hanging on like that. I'm expecting great things from Drew and especially Shelby, I think she will keep him on his toes and bring some good humour to Revenge! I can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it!! This book has so much going for it, the characters have amazing chemistry, they are all likeable and totally relatable and the suspense and intrigue keeps you desperately waiting to see what happens. This is a must read series!!

SATISFACTION is the second installment in Lexi Blake’s contemporary, adult LAWLESS romantic, suspense series focusing on the Lawless siblings-Riley, Drew, Brandon and Mia. This is Brandon Lawless, and PA Carly Hendricks’s story line. SATISFACTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion as each installment focuses on revenge and retribution for a twenty year old murder. There is a bit of a cross over/spinoff with Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series with the appearance and ongoing role for Mia Lawless and Navy SEAL Case Taggart (Dominance Never Dies), and the McKay –Taggart Security Service. Told from dual third person perspectives (Brandon and Carly) SATISFACTION focuses on revenge against the people believed to have murdered the sibling’s parents. Twenty years earlier Benedict Lawless and his wife Iris were killed in a house fire intended to kill the entire family-a murder for hire where greed and power were the precipitating factors. The authorities ruled it a murder/suicide but the Lawless siblings are determined to clear their father’s name. Fast forward to present day wherein our hero Brandon Lawless, steps out of his comfort zone, and approaches Carly Hendricks hoping for some help with the investigation into his parent’s murder. Carly is the PA to media mogul and reality TV personality Patricia Cain-a woman linked to the Lawless murder, and the potential murder of several other parties. What ensues is the building relationship between Carly and Brandon, and the struggle to protect Carly from her ex-husband’s past. Brandon Lawless (aka Brandon Lang) is a complex, broken hero. All of the siblings were separated into the foster care system following the death of their parents but Brandon’s experiences were far more traumatic and disturbing than his much luckier brothers and sister. Carly is a woman whose marriage was destroyed by lies and betrayal, and her husband’s past has come back looking for payment and revenge- in more ways than one. Carly Hendricks has issues with low self-esteem that continues to affect our heroine throughout the story-she is a woman who believes she is not worthy of Brandon’s attention. The relationship between Brandon and Carly is one of immediate attraction although Brandon went against his brother’s orders and revealed his family history to the woman with whom he would fall in love. Carly is a woman scorned; threatened by events of the past; and a woman who wants more from Brandon than he is willing to give. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense. All of the Lawless siblings play secondary and supporting roles, as well as Case and Cain Taggart (McKay-Taggart Security), and one of Benedict’s former partners Bill ‘Hatch’ Hatchard-a man who all but raised the Lawless siblings once he was able to determine their foster care history. Once again, I suspect there is a story about Hatch, and his role in the entire family saga; the ‘cliff hanger’ ending reveals a twist to the story that will shock both the reader and the story line characters. We are also introduced to journalist/reporter Shelby Gates-a woman researching the truth behind Patricia Cain’s meteoric rise, and her potential connection to the death of Shelby’s older brother. Shelby and Drew’s story is next in Revenge (June 2017). SATISFACTION is a provocative and intriguing tale with an innovative twist to the story line ending. The premise is complex

I have read all of the Masters and Mercenaries series, and the first book in the Lawless series plus many of Lexi's other books and they are so good from the very beginning that I can't put them down until I finish the story. Not so with this book. It has been a struggle to finish reading it. I would start and lose interest and move on to a new book. Then I would come back to this book and read a little more, and lose interest again. This happened over and over again. I just made myself finish it, and that was with a lot of skimming through the story. It has litterly taken me months to finish it. I'm not sure what happened with this book but it just didn't come all. I never thought I would have to give one of Lexi's books only a 2 star rating, but here it is. I don't recommend this book. If you have never read one of Lexi's books before then I highly recommend you start with the first book in the Masters and Mercenaries series. Awesome series you won't be disappointed. As for this book wait until you have read the others, and if you feel you really need to read this book...well, then at least you will know that this book was a fluke. Happy Reading:)
