Amazing! This is the first book I have ever read by Alison Foster, but it won’t be my last! This is a riveting, page-turning, hot & steamy, romantic suspense must read with twists & turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I very much liked the storyline and the characters were amazing! I am already anticipating reading Part 2 and 3! Give this book a chance, I highly doubt you will regret it! *I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

The book started a little slow for me but in hindsight all the backstory was needed to provide crucial information and perspective. The book picked up speed with steamy menages, passionate interludes and an investigation into Madison's secret life. I can't wait for part 2!

Ella Wade hates her job working for a scandal rag. But a job is a job. Until her boss wants her to go hunting a couple that is hiding in Hawaii. Next thing she knows, her boss is calling her with tragic news. Her stepsister is dead. He wants her to cover the story, since she is family and may be able to get the information before the media can. While covering the story, she follows a local detective around. Looking into her stepsisters life, she finds there is a lot she does not know. Then she runs into him. Jaxon Cole is the guy her stepsister was seeing, or not seeing? Ella is just trying to cope with the loss, do her job, get in, get out, etc. Jaxon makes it seem like he knows more. Can Ella trust him? He tells her to call.... but would you? Interesting and charming start to the series. I cannot wait for he next installment in the Scandal series, Part Two is out now! ***This ARC was given in exchange for an honest review only.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have never read anything by Alison Foster and I enjoyed reading this book. Its a quick read but it was very interesting and drew me in. This book was a great start to this series and I look forward to reading the rest in this series. Ella is working at the Daily Scandal and enjoys writing and likes to be in the background. She doesn't want to be one of those types of paparazzi until she finds out that her ex step-sister was murdered. She figures she'd be the best to cover the story and wants to find out who did it. While out with the detective they go to meet and question her step-sister's ex Jaxon. She feels horrible because she feels instantly attracted to him. Jaxon decides to help her find the killer and presses her at the same time. Jaxon talks her into it and they end up together and boy do they have some hot sex. Things are going good until they're not. What happens? What does she find that makes her question her trust in Jaxon? What are Jaxon's intentions with Ella? I really can't wait to read the next!

I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review. It took me a bit to get into the book, but once I did I enjoyed the book. The dynamic between Ella and Jaxston is electric yet you can tell there is so much more than what meats the eye. I look forward to reading the next part.
