About the Author

Liliana Hart is a New York Times, USA Today, and Publisher’s Weekly bestselling author of more than fifty titles. After starting her first novel her freshman year of college, she immediately became addicted to writing and knew she’d found what she was meant to do with her life. She has no idea why she majored in music.

Since publishing in June 2011, Liliana has sold more than five-million ebooks. All three of her series have made multiple appearances on the New York Times list. Liliana is a sought after speaker and she’s given keynote speeches and publishing workshops to standing-room-only crowds, from California to the Library of Congress to London.

Liliana can almost always be found at her computer writing, or giving workshops for SilverHart, a company she founded with her husband, Scott Silverii, where they provide law enforcement, military, and fire resources to writers, so they can “write it right.” When Liliana and her husband aren’t working or spending time with their children, they’re traveling to the places that interest them most.

Best of the series. This is Shane and Lacey's story of war, terror, suffering, family, brotherhood, alpha males with lots of hot romance to keep the reader on edge of their seat.

I love the McKenzie's series, a family of heroes who won't back down and let the bad guys win...H_LL NO! And with their lastest, and greatest loss they will fight harder, to right the wrongs. I can't wait for the next in the series...happy reading:)

Shane Mckenzie was my long awaited man. His story made him the most interesting to me. He's Perfectly Imperfect, and the that suits me just fine. Scorch was a story that was worth the wait and left me with a heavy heart. I've loved all the Mckenzie stories, starting with Dane, but Scorch had a feel of finality that was non too subtle. It felt like the end of a whole era, and the beginning of their new lives. I love any book that brings tears to my eyes because i know I've connected with the characters and their stories. Scorch had so many obstacles to get through, a test of family bond, a test of strength, a test of self worth, a test in loyalty, and above all a test in trust to the one you love. That one person who can pick you up of the floor at your lowest point, and can manage to shake you off, and still put you in their place of pride. Shane Mckenzie was my favorite even as i read Cade. So authoritative, so strong, so stubborn, and yet the little boy who always had the spine of a true McKenzie. His story, along with the brilliance and courage of Dr. Lacy Shaw, was a perfect match made by the brilliance of Mckenzie Securities. I'd love to see more of these characters in many many more stories, and though the last bachelor in the family has been snatched up, I can't help but feel that there are others who consider themselves part of this wonderful family, and those would give us great stories. Great job done by Ms. Liliana Hart, you are a genius, and i can't thank you enough for this great ride along all the beautiful M Mckenzieckenzie guys and gals. Thank you

I was really excited for this book but was disappointed that the first half was nearly all just a reprint from previous books in the series. Then the real meat of the story is reached and it is weakly developed and not thought out. This was not the material I have come to enjoy from Liliana Hart. I hope there is more to this story without the recycled novels.

The first half was a rehash of Shane's injury but Ms. Hart changed a lot of events from what happened in Dec and Sophia's story. To me Lacey seemed devoid of any personality. The ending was a shocker.

Will say that I have read all of the Makenzie series and have loved them all and have given them all a 5 star rating until now. That's not to say I didn't love the book I did I love the interaction with lacey and Shane I loved the action and the struggle that they both went though. It would have been another 5 star for me if not for the ending. I never would have expected that from this author and was a little disappointed but I will continue to read any books this author writes.

Great relationship between Shane and Lacey. They both came together and faced there fears about life. However, I did not see that ending coming.???

It had a lot of back story we already knew and did not need. Then their a couple and it was over. Won't give a way the ending, but that's a disappointing way to end a series. I waited forever for Shane's story and it was lacking a story. I do have to say overall the series it self I did really enjoy and will reread the other books again, just not this one.

This is hard because the book was good. My problem is I waited 2 years for this book and the first half of the book is all the glimpses we've had of Shane while waiting for this to release. For some reason a lot of authors are doing this and still charging full price. I had hoped there would be more to his story.
