This was a very sad, tragic story with a happy ending that was retold in a funny, light hearted way. I was one of Mr. Ludwig's students and I can tell you first hand he is an amazing person both inside and out. His style of writing is 100% genuinely funny¿..LUDWIG STYLE! Stay Healthy! Marianne :)

Great book, story and guy ( felt like i got to know him ) easy to read and a LOT of laughs. Wasn't expecting it to be SO funny but I cried laughing several times. Love the way Steve is able to laugh at himself. Awesome book for anyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A very serious subject was covered with humor and from a first person account. It let the reader know what is involved in bypass surgery from the viewpoint of the patient. I also was moved by how much the author is loved and cared about by the people in his life. It's a quick read, and well-done.

Mr. Steve Ludwig tells his story in a conversational tone that draws you right into his harrowing experience. But he keeps you laughing with him throughout the whole ordeal. I highly enjoyed the music references. His appreciation of the doctors, nurses, family and friends that got him through it all endear the reader to a very special humble man. In addition, the illustrations were hysterical.

Steve sees the humor in open-heart surgery while telling all his fears and foibles. A light (and light-"hearted") account of the journey he took from diagnosis to full recovery.Highly recommended!
