Preface
I'm writing this preface in the midst of a global pandemic-coronavirus (COVID-19).
This is a first for all of us, and we're each choosing our own response- fear, panic, stockpiling goods we may or may not need, and also spending time with our families, helping and sharing with our neighbors, calling friends we haven't checked in with for a while.
Now that I'm getting older, and knowing that nobody is guaranteed tomorrow, I find a lesson or realization in everything. Every story in this book, just like yours and mine, includes what seems to be a personal pandemic that one has to somehow get through.
WMAP's Simply Amazing series began before this new world-wide emergency, but the need for positive examples is always with us. I hope that by the time you read this, the current crisis will be past, but I know heartache and severe challenges are always present.
I've been told that Simply Amazing Special Author's Edition has raised people from disappointment and despair to new beginnings. I hope Simply Amazing Women will likewise uplift you and remind you of the strength of the individual. We can meet this new challenge and each one that comes our way. Be inspired by these Amazing Women and what their best qualities say about all of us.
