About the Author

Andy Nordvall is a graduate of the super-prestigious graduate screenwriting program at UCLA, where he won a UCLA Professional Program Screenwriting Award, UCLA Showcase, Screenwriting Expo Award, 3 Carl Sautter awards (for feature, TV drama, and sitcom), and was a finalist for the Humanitas and Slamdance. He started his writing career as a journalist/critic for FLAGPOLE MAGAZINE, which published his series of essays on living and working in Chengdu, China. He has also produced original web content featured in Entertainment Weekly, BBC News, Variety, and FunnyOrDie, and currently writes the webcomic MY ROOMMATE, THE INTERNET.
Don Nguyen is a UCLA alum and Los Angeles-based freelance illustrator and comic book artist. He runs a daily sketchblog called Nguyening It that follows the course of his career and development as an artist since leaving the RAND Corporation. He has done corporate illustrations, sculpture work, storyboarding, character designs, concept work (for the movie Love in the Time of Monsters and other undisclosed projects), comics, and is probably best known for needle-felting a Star Wars AT-AT and basket-weaving a Sherman Tank that sat atop a grass cube as part of a collaboration for the old Sunset Boulevard Art Park. He has been in TIME magazine and his work featured in the Los Angeles Times and BoingBoing.net. He is currently producing comics like his creator-owned Jupiter the Space Pug and you may find him in the Artist Alley of a comic book convention near you.
