Not a bad read just not great when compared to bender. I expected so much more given the fact that I so enjoyed the first book.

The book overall was good but not as good as Bender. I think the author left out too much and it was too short. 150 pages was not enough to develop such complicated characters. . And to just throw out Macie and dodger every few minutes didn't feel right. Needed more from both characters to feel like they cared about each other.

I am kinda disappointed with this book. I think I was expecting more. There wasn't really alot about annabelle and turner as a couple. Sure there was some funky dates but something was missing. Ms. BOREL I hope you do better with marcie and dodger. :-(

3.5 star This is Annabelle and Turner’s story. I loved Turner but had some issues connecting with Annabelle. By the end connection was a little better but still not 100% sure I like her. She comes off stiff. Annabelle has sworn off men as she does not want to lose more people out of her life. Turner is a playboy and wants Annabelle. He usually gets what he wants so he goes after Annabelle making her his project. But when you fall for the project what happens then? Annabelle fights the attraction and the relationship. Can these two come together? Can Turner make Annabelle face her fears? After the first book I was expecting a longer more special book. This book is good but in no way is it better then Bender.

This was not your typical playboy meets good girl romance. Turner was a player but he had no qualms about finding the right woman and settling down. He simply hadn't met anyone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Until he met Annabelle. Annabelle didn't try to keep him at arms length because he was a rounder but due to her own personal issues. A nice change of pace. I really enjoyed Slider. It is well-written, flows easily, and kept my attention right up to the last page. The characters are well-developed and likable. The chemistry between Turner and Annabelle is HAWT! I loved the fact there was more to their relationship than lust. The ways Turner got Annabelle out of her shell and showed her life was worth living- risks and all- were sweet and endearing. Just the push she needed. I liked the Brooks' family dynamics. It was so realistic. The love they felt for each other was evident in everything they did. The way they welcomed everyone into their fold was beautiful. I've known families like this. They have so much love to give and want everyone to know they are loved. The people in this story are ones I would happily have as friends and extended family. While Slider is a standalone story, I would be thrilled if Stacy Borel wrote another book about them. This is the first book of hers I have read but I am looking forward to reading more. If you are looking for a well-written HEA with an abundance of family love, this is the book for you. I highly recommend reading it.

Loved Turner! What could be hotter than this family full of gorgeous alphas? Just like Camden's story, this left me anxious for more. Hope Ms Borel writes Dodger's story fast - can't wait!

Waited on pins and needles for sometime for this one from Stacy, but it was worth it. 5 fantabulous homerun hitting stars, Ms. Borel. And that Epiloug, quite dirty of you to just put that out there and close the door. Well done!!

Slider, book 2 in the CORE FOUR Series focusing on Turner Brooks, oldest brother of the HOT Brooks Brothers. This is Turner and Annabelle's story. While this book may be shorter than Bender, Book 1 I think it was just enough. The words were full and packed a punch if that makes sense. Annabelle is Keegan's (from book 1) friends from college and she slid into Turne's sight at the end of book 1. I wasn't sure how I felt about Turner but he really was a great guy and really understood Annabelle even though he didn't know much about her. I don't want to get into how their love develops but it is a beautiful story with a lot of heart and I think you'll fall in love with this story for sure. PLUS, you get to get more of Camden and Keegan, Dodger and Macie and youngest brother Wrigley which I am very much looking forward to their books. Totally recommend #ReadOn
