Slip of the Tongue is a three-act play about a small-town radio talk show host, Dennis Cicero, who makes a casual remark about the death of a city councilman in an auto accident. This upsets the mayor, his station manager, and other dark forces, and results in bringing fear and danger to him and his family.
The Fairness Doctrine and talk radio are interwoven with the suspense of forces opposed to free speech. Although this play is a work of fiction, the events are frighteningly plausible.
