From the very beginning, I found this book to be ultra-witty and enjoyable. I absolutely loved each and every flashback scene. They meshed perfectly with the scenes from the present time. Everything pieced together to make a marvelous love story. All the references to Star Wars throughout were icing on the cake for this 80's nerd girl. I loved the pace of the story and everything that happened after she returned home really kicked it up to hyperspace speed. I was very pleased with the way things ended. I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from Emme Burton.

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. * This book was so hard for me to give a star rating for....The characters were compelling, relatable and fun so that made it 5 stars, the spelling, punctuation and grammar needs a bit of work so that made it a 3 star, the plot was fast moving and sweet, however, it had some unbelievable parts about it so that was a 4 star...so I decided to go with a 4 star overall. Now, let me give you some details. The author did an amazing job with the characters. They felt like friends and were relatable to everyday readers like myself. The happiness, sadness and excitement jumped out of the pages and into the readers lives. The spelling needs a lot of work - every time the author wrote the word "loosing" I cringed....I wanted to change the spelling to the proper way...losing...there were some other grammar, spelling and punctuation that needed some help, but not as much as the love of the word loosing. The way in which the characters got together threw me off a bit as well. Marcus AKA "Snack" just lost his wife and within weeks he was in love and moving on - I get that it was with his childhood love, and that they were meant to be, but it seemed in poor taste - I wish they got together because of a divorce instead of a death - the author lost me there for a bit. With all that being said, I did enjoy this book - it was fast paced and the reader does zoom through it at a breakneck pace. The reader will enjoy the Star Wars references and the fact that Minnie's dog is name "Wookie". This book will appeal to a wide variety of readers. Add this to your TBR list and let me know what you think! Enjoy! ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official.
