I have to admit I am not a fan of Marc D'Alessio. In fact I wasn't sure I was even going to read this book, that is how much I didn't like him. I am so happy I decided to read it because this book is so richly complex and explains so much of his history that you can't help but find yourself feeling sympathetic towards him and wanting him and Angelina to get their HEA. The book is told over the same time frame as Nobody's Perfect more or less however it is told from Marc and Angie's perspective. While in Nobody's Perfect you had glimpses of their unhappiness and the fact that they separated you don't find out the specifics until this book. Wow, what an amazing journey I was taken on. You find out, along with Marc and Angie, all the parts that made Marc who he is. Not a tragic abusive past but something much more haunting that Marc himself doesn't even realize until he goes to the extreme and asks Adam to do a very specific scene with him to help him learn more about himself and why he is running. I went from not caring about Marc to rooting for him and wanting he and Angie to work through all their difficulties and to get to their HEA. A tremendous journey that leaves you feeling fulfilled with tears of joy running down your face by the final sentence. Bravo Kallypso Masters for writing such a wonderful book with such wonderfully rich characters that we can relate to….

Sexy, Romantic and Heart wrenching We’ve waited so long for Marc and Angelina’s story…….and it was so worth the wait! You will not be disappointed. This was very different from her other books in the series because it filled in a lot of the gaps from the previous book. Some of the same scenes being told from another perspective. I loved it! You will get so wrapped up in Marc and Angelina’s problems that you won’t be able to put it down! You will go through many emotions while Marc discovers why he has so many trust issues. His journey of discovery is very emotional and heart wrenching. There were times I wanted to slap some sense into him, then I was crying and the next minute I wanted to hug him! Marc and Angelina’s love story is romantic. A man who loves his girl so much he’s willing to do anything to understand his past and make things right…….and a woman who loves her man so much that she will not give up on him and is there for him through his darkest days. It will keep you wanting more!!

An exciting journey/roller coaster ride that has romance, kink, past secrets revealed, action, emotional catharsis and a happy ‘ending’….of course, with Kallypso Masters’ saga, it never really ends because we can look forward to reading more about our Masters lives in her next book!  This book is completely different than the first 4-keeping the series more interesting, yet still giving the reader important snippets of the other Masters lives.   Somebody’s Angel is fulfilling yet makes you hungry for more!

Sorry but I don't agree with all the five star reviews. This is the weakest book in this series. One third was a repeat of book three; hey, we read it - and those who didn't. they won't have to read it now). The second third was all repetition within this book. Some sentences were verbatim. Over and over again; Ms. Master, we got it the first time Angel said how intimidated she was by Adam when they first met. We didn't need to hear the same exact thing 3 to 4 more times. It's just filler. Both Marc and Angels thoughts are also repeated over and over. The last third was new material but marred by the 20 pages dedicated to a marriage ceremony; my goodness, I had to skim over that. Ms. Masters needs to get a new editor or someone who will tell her the truth; she rambled on and on in this book. I hope someone lets her know. I'd hate to see a good series go down the toilet. I'll give the next book a shot if it's Cassie & Luke's story but if Ms. Masters does not return to the great writing she did in books 1-3, it will be my last book by her. There are just too many excellent writers out there that can write series whereby by each book stands alone and though a continuing saga they do not ruin any of the books for new readers and more important each book is new material.

I love all the Masters in the Masters at Arms series. Marc's journey to self discovery in this book has been amazing. Kallypso Masters is an amazing author, she keeps you engaged and sitting on the edge while feeling each and every feeling her characters experience.

Absolutely wonderful! After reading the first few books in this series I was not a big fan of Marc. This book has definitely changed that. Marc now has a place in my heart with all the other wonderful men in this series. Kallypso Masters really brings out all the emotions in Marc and in yourself. I highly recommend this series. Just make sure to read them in order. Another wonderful, great and fantastic book Kallypso!

The author has great ideas for stories but adds too much fluff that can derail the story.

Somebody’s Angel is the continuation of the Rescue Me Saga and gives fans of the series the opportunity to keep up with the lives of Adam & Karla, Damian & Savannah, and Angelina & Marc. Masters is one of the few authors I read whose books have overlapping timelines that aren’t a regurgitation of previous scenes and this installment is no different. Despite their seemingly happy ending in Nobody’s Angel, the author returns the focus to Marc and Angelina’s relationship and we learn that while things may look great from the outside, Marc’s inability to open up and trust Angelina has worn on her over time and she’s no longer sure that they have a future together. Where Nobody’s Angel focused on Angelina and how Marc helped her to overcome her painful introduction to BDSM, to be comfortable within her own skin, and to embrace her sexuality, Somebody’s Angel focuses on Marc as he must come to terms with his past or lose Angelina forever. Marc’s journey is a harrowing one as he learns truths about his parentage, his brother’s relationship with Melissa, and how he was used by the women who introduced him to BDSM and how it affected the way he saw himself as a dom. While some of what he must deal with is readily accessible by his memories – even if he doesn’t want to face them – it is the memories that are deeply buried that push Marc to take drastic measures to uncover them. This is not the first time that I have read Somebody’s Angel and I cannot believe that I forgot just how intense the interrogation scene was, and not just for Marc. Adam’s commitment to help Marc discover his deeply buried secrets illustrated just how much the man cares for his “family” as Adam himself experienced a resurfacing of painful memories as he took Marc through days of interrogation. As disturbing as it was to watch Marc come apart at the seams, it was necessary for him to do so if he wanted to get his future back. But Masters takes Marc’s recovery one step further by sending him and Angelina off to Italy where Marc gets the chance to face his past literally. While this was not the story I had wanted when the book was originally released (I was hoping for Luke and Cassie’s tale at the time), I devoured it the first time I read it and even though I took my time reading it this time around, it was still just as emotional of a read. I am looking forward to continuing the series (as I haven’t read any of the books after this one, even though I own them) and finding out how Marc, Angelina, and the rest of the crew have fared. I reviewed my personal copy of the book. Reviewed by Angela at Crystal's Many Reviewers!

I have read this series and find it well written and very interesting. What I find disappointing is that I have found no information on the next book or when it will be available. That is most disappointing.

This was a very emotional book. Marc and Angelina started their relationship in a very unconventional way. Now they are working to build a strong foundation for their relationship. Marc is having to come to terms with his past and learn to trust people. This book shows Marc working through his past in a very unconventional way. I enjoyed Damien and Savannah's wedding and seeing the rest of the Masters at Arms gang. Be prepared this book will make you cry and cheer for Marc and Angelina to find their happily ever after. Another great and very intense read from Kallypso!

Kallypso Masters has done it again.  Kally tackles tough real-life problems in the ongoing relationship of Marc and Angelina.  This is book 4 in the Rescue Me saga.  I highly recommend the whole series.

I really thought I was going to get the babies here in this book. Adam's going to stroke out if you don't hurry up. Very long slow book this time.

I have loved all the books I do wish the ending on this one had not left me "Hanging". I would so love to see more books

I was so frustrated by the first two thirds of the book being a rehash of the series. It was almost verbatim. I think the author actually used cut/paste! The final third is the meat of the book and interesting, hence the three stars. Lots of emotional twists and turns to keep one reading. I don't know if I want to risk Luke and Cassie's story if I have to go thru the whole thing again.
