Soul Mates: Kosovo - 1910

Soul mates, as a historical novel, specifically focuses on a time period of three weeks in January of 1910. At the beginning of this particular year, my grandmother gave birth to my mother in Yanyevo, a small town in Central Kosovo. Meanwhile, my grandfather - a lieutenant in the Ottoman army - was fighting the Serbian nationalists at the Northern Kosovo front.
