FJ Lennon's Soul Trapper is a fun and fascinating reading experience. Told in a first person narrative reminiscent of a 1940's film Noir thriller (think Sam Spade or Phillip Marlow as Ghost Hunter), Soul Trapper starts off as a wild fun-house ride (almost literally) and then slowly sucks the reader (and it's world weary narrator) into deeper and deeper realms of both danger and mystery. The scenes clip along at a very fast pace (with never a dull or down moment), the writing is crisp and clear, the characters are compelling enough that you want to see them all again (and I hope we do), and the story telling is such that you don't want the tale to end. In fact I found myself unconsciously slowing down my reading as the book was coming to a close, so that it wouldn't end too soon.

This book was different because the of the "Soul Trapper's" ghost busting skills. The help from his father's friend and his love of music... The book moves quickly and I liked that. I am looking foward to this authors next book.

I just finished this book and love it ! The characters are so well written I can visualize them. And Kane Pryce - wow - self destructive, drunken, witty, softy, womanizer. You dislike the guy, think he's cool, but also feel sorry for him. The story kept me reading past the point that I should have put it down. It's well paced and definitely written for the now generation. But the ending left me with the the same feeling as the end of the first "Lord of the Rings" movie. It's like " . . . .What ? that's the end ?? but there are so many questions and unfinished business !!" I really hope there is a second book because I can't wait to read it. Oh, by the way, I think this is definitely script material so read the book now before a movie is made!

I loved the book Soul Trapper by FJ Lennon. It was an intriguing story from the very first page. The story is narrated by Kane Pryce, the main character. You find yourself involved in all his thrilling adventures as a legendary ghost hunter. I didn't want to put this book down. I sure hope there will be a sequel. It was a fascinating read.
