I am so happy that Howard Weinstein didn't shelve his ideas that came out of his brainstorming session with Leonard Nimoy for Star Trek IV. This is easily his best original series work, and that is saying a lot since he is one of the top five Trek authors. Non Trek readers would even like this one. It's good ecofiction.
