When dealing with demons, the devil’s in the details…

Stealing mystical and arcane artifacts is a dangerous business, especially for a human, but Zoey Wharton is an exceptional thief. The trick to staying alive is having friends in all the wrong places. While having a witch and a werewolf on the payroll helps, being partners with a vampire really opens doors.

Zoey and Daniel were childhood sweethearts until a violent car crash took his life and left her shattered. When Daniel returned from the grave as a vampire, his only interest in Zoey was in keeping her safely apart from the secrets of his dark world. He has vowed to protect her, but his heart seems as cold as the night he calls home.

Five years later, a mysterious new client named Lucas Halfer offers Zoey a fortune to steal the Light of Alhorra. The search for the Light leads Zoey into the arms of an earthbound faery prince. Devinshea Quinn sweeps her off her feet, showing her everything the supernatural world has to offer, but Daniel still calls to her heart.

As the true nature of the Light is revealed, Zoey discovers Halfer is a demon and much more than money is at stake. Per her contract, she must give him the Light or spend an eternity in Hell. What’s a girl to do except fight for her soul…and her heart.

Truly awesome Paranormal Romance. Nothing says paranormal like human girl who loves a vampire king and meets a sexy Fae. Thrown in her witch friend and Werewolf buddy and now the fun begins. I can't wait to see how things develop for Zoey, Daniel and Dev. This book contains lots of adventure and hot action. I have already purchased the remaining four books and look forward to reading them. I was already a fan of Lexi Blake and she never disappoints!

I worried that this book would be on a teen level after reading the Morganville Vampires series. I have truly loved this book and have read it in a few days!

I was afraid to read this book for a while because I thought it would be depressing. It was an amazing book with characters that are so real you will come to love them. Excellent series.

My first Lexi Blake book and enjoyable! There are a few of the "oh, this again" paranormal/romance moments, but some fresh takes and interesting world-building more than make up for it. I will be following this series, and would read this book again. Enjoyable escape!

You will enjoy this adventurous paranormal series. Zoey is a pretty, professional thief with a partnership cosisting of a werewolf, witch, vampire and fae. She ia also in trouble with a demon that can keep and torture her soul if she does not honor his client contract. !!!!

I love Lexi's Masters and Mercenaries series, but knowing Thieves was a completely different genre it too me a while to jump in, but I am really glad I did. Now I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the books.

Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, fae,a love triangle, this book has it all. Zoey Wharton is a thief of arcane objects who gets in over her head when she is tricked into stealing an artifact for a demon. As she does everything she can to save her soul and the soul of Daniel, a vampire and her true love, she finds out quite a few things about herself. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Neil, who is a werewolf is one of the members of the crew and always has Zoey's back is an interesting character. He is not your typical were. I have to say that my favorite character is Dev. He is Fae and shunned by his people for being a halfling. He is charming, sexy, handsome and rich and also wants Zoey. Makes for an interesting love triangle. There are many other subplots throughout the story that make you want to stay up all night to finish reading the book. This is a great series and I can't wait to read the next books.

I'm a big Lexi Blake fan! I have read all her books in the Masters and Mercenaries Series and Masters of Menage Series (coauthored with Shayla Black). Even though I really enjoy her books, I was reluctant to try this series. I actually like paranormal fiction, but don't care for stories where a heroin is going to have to choose one man out of the two she loves. I know that's not what bothers other readers. Usually, its the non-vinilla sex scenes more conservitive readers dislike. I should have known Lexi would not disappoint me in her new adventure. She's so creative and worked out the two lover issue in an interesting way. This book does leave u with a "it will continue in the next book", but don't let it turn u away from this series. All the books are out now, as of this review. The story just gets better and better with each book. I was drawn to the characters and loved the humor in this series! All around a win win in my opinion. Happy reading!

Good characters and story line, too bad the explicit sex scenes make it tawdry. Won't be reading anymore of her books.
