Overview

Struggling For Justice (Bantorus MC) by Debra Kayn

Let's roll…

Natalie Oman's husband murdered his brother before committing suicide, leaving her a widow and struggling for her share of Meghoni Mine. She spends her time avoiding her remaining brother in law and his irrational agenda that someone else murdered both Oman brothers. Finally free from the threats and loneliness that came from her marriage, she's determined to find a place to teach her self-defense classes and move on with her life. The last thing she expects is a sexy biker to validate her dreams and work his way into her heart.

As the Vice President and the oldest member of the Bantorus MC, Federal Charter, Remmy Hollis lives life hard, wild, and free. Summertime means territory wars, beautiful women, trips back to Pitnam, and chaos. Until one rational decision changes the course of Remmy's life. The dangerous web of cover-ups surrounding Los Li—the Mexican mafia, puts a target on Natalie's back. Remmy will bury the secrets and take out anyone who tries to hurt the woman warming his back, even though Natalie's the one lady who deserves to know the truth.

—Each Bantorus MC book features a new couple with their own happily ever after—

Feeding my addiction for the Bantorus MC once again. As always, I am never disappointed with one of Debra Kayn's biker books. She has a way of drawing you into the story from the very first few words. This story starts with Remmy Hollis, VP of Bantorus MC, Federal Chapter, witnessing a woman and man arguing in a parking lot and he rescues her. The woman turns out to be Natalie Oman. She was the wife of the owner of Meghoni Mines who was killed by Los Li a year ago. Is Natalie being here a set up by Los Li or is she really in need of being helped? Remmy isn't one to settle down. He has always taken pride in his life style of living life to the fullest and one night stands. But, Natalie needs help and he gives it to her (including letting her sleep in his bed). Will she be able to break the bad boy of his wicked ways as she starts falling for him? As they grow closer, so does the threat of Will, Natalie's former brother-in-law, who keeps trying to come around and talk with Natalie. What does he really want and is he really a threat? He claims he wants the case opened again to prove his brothers' case wasn't murder/suicide and it was murder. The Bantorus members don't want this coming out because it will bring Los Li back to town to retaliate. Then, just what everyone feared happens. Los Li are back. This was a hard book to put down.

Enjoyed this book. Its refreshing to read about a middle age couple falling in love. Remmy is a sexy older man and I think beat out Slade out for my favorite!

Anyone who knows me or has looked on this blog knows that I love Debra Kayn's bikers alot.  This book is no exception. Remmy touched a part inside of me that just loved him so hard.  He was pretty close to taking my main man Torque down from his #1 spot. Remmy and Natalie do not meet in a good place. Remmy senses something is off and his protective side kicks in.  He is keeping a secret from Natalie that has the power to set her free from the pain she is in and also from Remmy.  You can feel the struggle through the book as he fights to tell her while also protecting his club.  For this post I decided to share some of my favorite quotes from the book because I don't want to give the secret away.  Ms. Kayn works her magic again and weaves this story around us until you have no choice, but to see it through to the end.  She makes these hard bikers show their soft side without losing their edge.  It is a fine line she walks, but one she does oh so well.  She makes you yell at the book; she makes your heart break when the characters are about to break.  She makes you feel the love between them and can't help, but wish that also for yourself. She makes you laugh! If that is not a sign of a great author I don't know what is! Everyone knows in this MC genre that either it works or it doesn't ~ with Debra Kayn it works every time! Pick up this book ~ you will regret it if you don't! ~Shauna~

Struggling For Justice is the latest installment in Debra Kayn’s Bantorus Motorcycle Club series. Immediately, I was drawn in when we witness Remmy rescue Natalie from an argument with her brother-in-law Will. Remmy immediately goes into protection mode. He also discovers that she is Natalie Orman the widow of the owner of Meghoni Mine that was tied to the Los Li’s. Even though Natalie is forty, she has an innocent quality about her. She didn’t have the best of marriages and Remmy, at the age of forty-eight, has never believed in commitment Remmy has lived a life in the fast lane and as his and Natalie’s relationship develops he wonders if he’s ready for a permanent commitment. Danger lurks as the Los Li’s are back in town and all Remmy wants to do is protect his ‘lady’. This is a fast paced book that kept my attention throughout. I would recommend this book. I would also like to disclose that I received a copy of Struggling For Justice in exchange for a fair and honest review.

There are very few authors that I will drop anything I'm reading when a new release comes out. Debra Kayn is one of them. Bantorus MC series remains in my top 5 MC favorites with the addition of Remmy & Natalie to the storyline! This series always makes me laugh and cry. I was ready to swoon with Remmy's nickname for Natalie. Every girl should be someone's Lady. Remmy was just freaking amazing! My fingers are crossed that Ink will be the next book in the series.
