Volume One of the Learning Desire series!
David has always known that he was attracted to men. However, growing up in a strict, religious home, he is so closeted that now that he's started college and finally free, he's almost afraid to indulge himself in his true desires.
Although temptation is all around, he finds himself drawn to a handsome professor with a reputation for seducing younger men and a frightening, though exciting, dark side. When David gets too close to the flame, he turns to another young man, like himself, for comfort…and more.
Can David play with fire without getting burned…?
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
I could have put the typical synopsis here.
Boy meets boy.
They fall in love.
They live happily ever after.
But this is not that story.

The synopsis listed is for a one chapter preview. This is actually several brief intros and then a slightly longer bit about a married man fantasizing about his male boss. Incredibly irritating and disappointing.
So, on my nook, "Study Break" is cited as 142 pages. When I got to page 17, it ended with the words "to be continued." Another come-on to buy more books. Then I was treated to a few chapters of "The Beast" which involved werewolves eating people after sex - just terrific, geesh. After that, there were a few chapters of "Searching for Truth" before the "to be continued." This was actually a pretty hot story. Next came those first chapters of "Study Break" AGAIN. Who edited this volume??? Finally, there was the whole book of "Bared Desires: The Naked Truth." This tale of Brent and Riley is a good one but better had by just picking up the three books in the series in "The Naked Truth - complete collection," as you will want to know how the story ends By the way, I had already read this last book so finding it in the "Study Break" book was useless to me. Mason Lee is a pretty solid m/m writer but this volume is mess.
