Thus is a complete story, no cliffhanger after 80 pages; so that is a huge plus. I hate cliffhangers and do not buy them. If I find one I do not read further. I really enjoyed the premise for this story. However, it is told in first person, one chapter his, one hers. I can deal with that I guess, it is just weird to hear a male character say things like , she touched my rock hard pec and other romance jargon. I think a man would just say, she touched my chest. It seems a woman should be the one using the adjectives, you know? Anyway, except for that it was good. I would have liked a bit more in the way of details. It feels like there was a prescribed number of pages and they were not to be extended so we lost some explanations and story along the way. No typos. I have a Nook Samsung Tab 4 10.1 inch tablet set for a medium small font with portrait rotation and borders on all sides. I had around 207 pages including story, contents reviews and a sneak peek at the next story.

I really loved this book! I loved the plot the story telling. All of it. It even kept me up at night wondering what would happen to them next. Ok, just one night since I finished it the next day. It had action, comedy and romance. What more can you ask for?

Submerged has all of the elements that I crave with a romance novel: the angst of what was supposed to be a one-night stand, the endearing two-year-old little girl who has the eyes of her father, and the sexy gravitational pull that the hero and heroine are powerless to resist. On top of all of that, the book also has mystery and intrigue, and I was gasping out loud when Blake and Carly’s 2 worlds collide, resulting in an explosive and heart-stopping climax. Lacey Black’s debut novel in her new Bound Together series is grittier and more intriguing than the world she created with her Rivers Edge series, but the characters are just as engaging and beloved. I don’t know that the synopsis for this book does the story justice with the intricate story that the author has created, setting the stage for the 2nd and 3rd books that will be written for the secondary characters in this story. I definitely did not see the twists and turns coming in this story and kept thinking over and over again that this is Ms. Black’s best work yet! That’s really saying something since I’ve read and loved all of the books in her Rivers Edge series. This book is un-put-down-able and will be a 2016 favorite for many readers. It’s fast-paced, sweet, sexy, and heart-stopping. I can’t recommend this book enough! Fantastic book Ms. Black!
