I love this series from Samantha Chase. Each and every book is filled with love and family. I would not mind being adopted into the Montgomery clan to be honest. Although book 8 this can be read as a stand alone. This is Christian Montgomery and Sophie Bennington’s story and one that I enjoyed. Although perhaps not as much as previous books in the series. Christian is a workaholic and the family business is all that he has focused on for years. Sophie, reeling from the fact that her whole life is a lie meet by chance. Fate works in mysterious ways and when they Christian is attracted to her but knows he has no time to date. However Christian is shocked when he discovers that the new nurse for the company is in fact the mysterious Sophie. As they work together they develop a relationship which has a big impact on Christian. The chemistry between them was at times intense and yet it was heart warming to see their love develop; both of them were committed to forging a future together despite their pasts and the secrets that threatened to destroy them. This is a well written story of coming to terms with the past, of love and family which I really enjoyed.

Suddenly Mine is a wonderful story with loveable characters in Sophie and sometimes exasperating Christian. Their personal struggles touched my heart as they try to maneuver through some tough issues together and apart.

Oh, Samantha Chase, you write books that I fall into and cannot seem to find my way out of until I read the very last word. Suddenly Mine is a book that tells the story of Sophie Bennington who has left Kansas to move to California to escape the gossip of a small town and the story of Christian Montgomery who is working too hard just to win his father’s approval. The story goes as expected with the two of them meeting, sparks flying, and love happening. The part of the story that I really loved is the openness of the Montgomery family. Even though they meet Sophie under the worst of circumstances they welcome her, they let her into their family, and they accept her for who she is. I love to see how they chatted, the hugged, and they didn’t question when she was around during private family times. All of this welcoming seemed to just make her shine more, make her realize what is important to her, and make her fall for Christian even more. While this is a predictable story it is a story that I loved. I loved the beach setting and could picture Christian sitting on his deck watching Sophie try to surf. Suddenly Mine is a quick and easy read. Pick up your own copy and enjoy these wonderful characters.

I received a copy from NetGalley My favorite thing about Samantha Chase stories are the characters that she creates and the growth and development they go through as the story progresses. Man does Christian come a long way, from stressed out workaholic under the pressure of his father to someone who tries to find a life. Sophie is a huge part of his change she helps him to see that there's more to life and if he keeps doing what he has been doing he won't live a long life. I love these two together. They are drawn together from the beginning, but it's not always easy. They go through some pretty emotional stuff together but they are also romantic, adventurous, and sexy. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait for more from Samantha Chase!

As always, Samantha Chase has written a sweet and sexy romance that just makes you feel good and truly want the characters to reach their Happily Ever After. Christian is a workaholic who never seems to please his father. Sophie is a nurse running from her past and looking for a new start and a job. She moves to town and ends up on the beach outside of Christian's house while learning to surf. Watching her is the only thing that makes him happy. By coincidence (or Montgomery matchmaking because Christian's mother and Aunt have hired her to be the nurse at his company), Christian rescues Sophie and then Sophie rescues Christian right back. Sparks begin to fly and together they learn that they will always be there for each other. I hope to see this couple again in future books.

I LOVE the Montgomery’s, but Christian just might be my favorite! My heart broke for him throughout the story, and what he went through. To see this strong, smart, outgoing hero be knocked down a notch here and there was almost more than I could stand. Thankfully, he had Sophie there when he needed her most. She’s sweet, funny, feisty, and definitely a heroine I could see being besties with. The story itself was one of healing, and finding love. Of forgiveness, and moving on. Samantha Chase did a fantastic job of drawing me in from the start and kept me there until the very last word. A must read I would highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this book. Samanthas book just keeps getting better and better. I can totally see this book cone to life in movie form. I just love Sophie and Christian, their chemistry is something that I think most every guy or girl would love to have. Sophie wanted a change and she moved to California. She took up surfing but couldn't get the hang of it but kept trying. Christian is a over worked hotter than heck man that notices Sophie out there surfing from his deck overlooking the ocean. He finally gets his chance to meet her when he jumps into action and races to the water to save her from drowning but doesn't get the chance as she comes up out if the water. The next time they meet is at Christains office when she is asked to take a look at him cuz he didn't look so well, his heart was racing, his chest hurt, he was sweating and pale. She jumped into action and taking her position as a nurse seriously. She told someone to call 911, Christian was in a bad way. She was afraid that he might be having a heart attack. She stayed by his side and found that he had a anxiety attack and that he needs to take better care of himself. I just love how they come together and take care if each other.

3.75 stars--SUDDENLY MINE is the ninth instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult THE MONTGOMERY BROTHERS romance series. This is businessman Christian Montgomery, and registered nurse Sophie Bennington’s story line. SUDDENLY MINE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Sophie and Christian) SUDDENLY MINE follows the building romance and relationship between businessman Christian Montgomery, and registered nurse Sophie Bennington. Having watched for weeks as the beautiful woman tried to execute the perfect wave on the beach in San Diego, Christian is shocked when his fantasy turns out to be the new healthcare hire for the family owned investment firm. But things don’t always go according to plan as a stressed out and overworked Christian is forced to take some time off, time off where he will get to know Sophie Bennington. What ensues is the building romance between Christian and Sophie, and the potential fall-out as more bad news, and the spiral of repercussions forces Sophie out of Christian’s life. Christian Montgomery is a workaholic, whose lifestyle is threatening his personal health., fuelled by a father who expects perfection and more. Meeting Sophie Bennington forces Christian to think about a possible future, a future that is threatened by sins of the past. The relationship between Christian and Sophie is one of immediate attraction; a visceral attraction wherein Sophie believes there is a possibility of a happily ever after, one that may be destroyed by grief and guilt. The romance is passionate; the $ex scenes fade to black, and are mostly implied. The colorful secondary and supporting characters including Christian’s parents Eliza and Joseph Montgomery; Christian’s brother Carter; their uncles Robert and William, Aunt Monica; several cousins, siblings and extended family, as well as Sophie’s grandmother Ida. SUDDENLY MINE is a story of family, secrets, regrets and betrayal. The premise is engaging and heart breaking; the characters are real and charismatic; the romance is sweet and loving. SUDDENLY MINE is a cute story of romance, misgiving, grief and acceptance.

This book has mild cursing and some vague fade to black sex. If you don't like harsh language and sex, there's nothing to worry about here. After absolutely *loving* the Band On The Run series I never thought I'd say this but Suddenly Mine might possibly be my favorite Samantha Chase book ever. I was sucked into the story from the very start and I found myself unable to stop thinking about it when I had to put it down to do real life things. I just couldn't shake the story. Christian was a wonderful but flawed book hero, but his flaws were totally understandable and relatable – he wasn't a callous jerk or an alphahole, he was just an imperfect human (that's a compliment!). Sophie was fantastic but also flawed in all the right ways, and I loved the way that these two imperfect people just fit together so utterly perfectly. Even when they weren't together as a couple, their relationship was beautiful and I never doubted that they would find their way back to their happily ever after. I won't spoil anything, but this book also tugged on my emotions in a way that I wasn't expecting at all. I found myself bawling as I was reading, and although I want to curse Ms. Chase for that, I have to admit that it made this book the amazing story that it was. Also, Christian's assistant Erin was awesome and I smiled every time I read about her. Well played, Ms. Chase! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book that has humor, great chemistry, and all of the feels. You're going to love this story.

Have you ever read a book that had you sighing one minute and cursing the characters the next? Well, this one had me doing it! Christian is literally working himself to death and hating his job while he is doing it. The best part of his day is his morning coffee when sitting on his deck when he gets a glimpse of his surfer girl. He would like nothing more than to go down to the beach and introduce himself but something, mainly himself, is holding him back until one day he witnesses a bully knock her off her board and he came up out of the surf but she didn't. Christian rushed to the beach to save her but she didn't need saving. That was their first meeting. A few days later in his office he thought he was having a heart attack and Sophie just happened to be in the office interviewing for a job, THE job, and thankfully she was and was able to go into nurse mode and be by his side. These two were perfect from the beginning to how slow they took it and how totally awkward they were. Sure, they had their twists and turns and bumps in the road but this story had the perfect ending! Make sure you read to the very end, it is so stinking sweet! I definitely recommend this one! **Received this ARC for review**

5 Stars Review by Elizabeth Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog There is another hit on Samantha Chase’s hands called Suddenly Mine. Suddenly Mine joins the long list of Montgomery Brother books and is an amazing addition to the series. Christian is a workaholic. Majorly. The man never takes a vacation or downtime to do anything fun. Insert Sophie who takes life by its wings and makes time for fun and just about anything. Christian and Sophie could not be any more opposite but as they say, opposites attract. Samantha has this way of writing that makes you connect with the characters from the beginning and I really like that. I also love the fact that there is no unnecessary drama in any of the books I have read by her. Suddenly Mine is no different. The sex scenes fade to black so, if you are looking for a lot of detail, move along. Normally, I am one of the ones that like the detail but Samantha has this way of keeping you on the line without it. Christian and Sophie’s relationship is very realistic. Suddenly Mine is not your we meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. Yes, they do get their HEA but it takes work. Christian has a lot of things he needs to work through with his father and Sophie has things she needs to work through. I can keep talking about this book but honestly, just read it! You will love it!

Amazing. I could not put this book down. The Montgomery's are busy again at matchmaking, this time their victims are Christian and Sophie. Christian is a workaholic, trying to prove to his dad that he can be a success in the family business. Sophie is a nurse and is new to San Diego looking for a job. Sophie ends up working for the Montgomery's and comes to Christian's aid. Soon a friendship develops and more, but will their pasts with their fathers interfere with their relationship. Loved, loved these characters!! Both are broken but with the help of each other they can overcome. So many emotions, please have a kleenex box handy. Samantha Chase is at her best with her story telling. She hit it perfect with the medical information and her Kansas logistics. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book!!

I really enjoyed this billionaire-nurse romance that looks at broken families and the often troubled relationships between parents and children. A sweet romance that's sure to bring a few tears but well worth the read.

This was by far my favorite Montgomery! Christian and Sophie's story had me laughing and crying and it was the perfect amount of angst. Theirs is a classic love story where two people meet, fall in love, and yet still have complicated lives to deal with and boy did these two have some complications! Fantastic story. Highly recommend!

I loved, loved this story!! It had everything I want in a story...wonderful characters, emotionally charged, sweet moments, swoon worthy moments, even a few anxiety stressed moments. It captured me from the beginning so much that I didn't want it to end. I loved how the main characters' relationship was developed from that first sighting to finally speaking to spending time together. I loved how they revealed their past to each other as their trust for each other grows. This was a wonderfully written story that had me feeling as if I was living it. I love how Samantha Chase gives you a glimpse into these characters lives with such detail you feel like your a part of it. You want to be a part of it. Thank you Samantha for such a wonderful story...I LOVED it!!!

Christian and Sophie’s love story was amazing and emotional. I absolutely loved Suddenly Mine by Samantha Chase book nine in her Montgomery Brothers series. Burnt out Christian needed a wakeup call before he killed himself from working too hard, trying to live up to his father’s expectations and atone for mistakes made years ago. Sitting on his deck, overlooking the beach and watching the California surfers, was a start at relaxing. One surfer, a woman who was just learning, caught his eye early on. Sophie left her small Kansas hometown after learning that her entire life was a lie; fleeing to the west coast, with a plan to start a new life and career. She attempts to learn new things, including how to surf. Sophie might not be good at it, but that doesn’t stop her from daily attempts to improve. Christian and Sophie accidentally meet but by spending time together Christian learns to relax, smile, and enjoy life thanks to Sophie. Their attraction is magnetic with off the chart chemistry. When Christian starts to slip, returning to his workaholic habits, he chances losing Sophie. Through courage and family support both Christian and Sophie must find the courage to forget the past and open their hearts to love and a future together. Keep tissue nearby as you read this story. Ms. Chase provided an emotional tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, strong family connections and endearing characters; providing Sophie and Christian a chance at everlasting love. I highly recommend Suddenly Mine to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Sophie Bennington moves out of state for a fresh start, after discovering her whole life was a lie, all she wants is brutal honesty from people. Christian Montgomery is a workaholic thanks to the pressures of his father, so after he suffers a health scare, he's encouraged to start making changes in his life. What he didn't expect was to find a friend in Sophie. Sophie's so carefree and outgoing, whereas Christian is reserved and set in his ways. I adored the way Sophie cares for people, especially Christian, and gets him to venture out and expand his horizons. When unfortunate events occur, my heart broke for the families. This was a great example of sticking to your guns and not accepting behaviors that you don't want in your own life. Strong, yet stubborn characters make for a wonderful, romantic story.

Another fantastic story in the Montgomery series; this one focusing on Christian Montgomery. Christian is a workaholic running a division of the family business to the point that it becomes very unhealthy for him. Sophie is trying to find her footing and find a job having newly moved to San Diego from Kansas. When they first meet he has no idea that she is the nurse his mom and aunt have hired for a new wellness program in the office. The timing couldn’t be any better. I love Christian and Sophie’s story from the slow burn of their relationship and the way she gets him to stop and smell the roses as they say; to the way they are there for each other in times of need, to their beautiful HEA. I felt ALL the feelings in this one but the best one was the feeling of joy at the way things turn out for them in the end.

Swept Away!! This story swept me up and touched all the emotions I love in a great romance. It is heartbreaking, hopeful, romantic. A beautiful story of two people going through some of life’s most devastating circumstances and trying to hold on to each other for survival. Couldn’t put it down!

Wonderfully Crafted! Samantha Chase is a supreme commander of words, a true marks woman I must say, her words find the target in our hearts. Bullseye, every time! Christian Montgomery is miserable, lately there was a growing discontent within him. Working constantly, trying to prove himself to his father Joseph, that he has what it takes to be a success, but never measuring up in his father’s eyes. The only moment of joy he has lately is when he watches the surfers as he drinks his coffee on his deck. Especially the new red headed surfer with the curvy body, who wasn’t a very good surfer at all, but even as she was failing, she was still finding joy in what she was doing. Christian just couldn’t stop watching her. Sophie Bennington has moved here on a whim. She had moved away from her hometown after finding out that her life was all a lie. She was starting to look for a job and was optimistic that she would find one with her credentials and experience as a nurse. Especially after talking with some ladies on the beach the day before. But when her car has a flat tire she misses her interview. But encouraged to not give up on her missed interview by a handsome guy that came to her rescue on the beach the next morning, she comes to his rescue when he has a panic attack and high blood pressure episode at work. These two total opposites come to each other’s rescue as they both try to get away from their heartbreaking pasts, by being forthcoming and truthful at every step along their journey. Creating something lasting and wonderful. As these two realize that, nobody is perfect until they are perfect for you. Get ready for all the feels in this unputdownable and unforgettable romance. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh so wonderful! The picture of them as a couple was so detailed and it was a wonderful, flowing story. I honestly read it over two nights. A great addition to the series.

Christian has tried to live up to his father's expectations his whole life and it almost kills him. But when Sophie shows up to help him, he begins to think that maybe there is more to life. All her life Sophie thought her parents were killed in a car accident and when she finds out that is not the case, she runs away from all the people that have been lying to her. She only hopes that Christian will be a distraction that will help her recover from her family's truth. If you are looking for a heartwarming cute romance ... then this is the book for you. Christian and Sophie will make you want to root for them as a couple. I didn't give it 5 stars because even though the story line was good, I thought it was a little predictable. I received an ARC courtesy of Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
