Elway was the Broncos' executive vice president of football operations. Tebow was on the Broncos' roster as the returning starting quarterback. And Manning had chosen to sign with the Broncos as the team's new starting quartback.

About the Author
Mike Klis has worked for The Denver Post since January, 1998, first as a Colorado Rockies/Major League Baseball writer. He became the Broncos/NFL beat writer in July 2005. Klis’ coverage of the Elvis Dumervil “fax fiasco” earned first place in 2013 Associated Press Sports Editors’ “breaking news” category. This is his fourth book.
Jim Nantz, the three-time Emmy Award winner and five-time National Sportscaster of the Year, joined the CBS Television Network in 1985. He currently serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for THE NFL ON CBS, including the Super Bowl; lead anchor of CBS’s golf coverage, including the Masters and the PGA Championship; and lead play-by-play announcer for college basketball, including the NCAA Men’s Final Four. In 2007 and 2010, Nantz completed a rare broadcasting triple by becoming the first commentator in history to broadcast the Super Bowl, NCAA Men’s Final Four and the Masters, all in the same year. Nantz recently repeated this trifecta in 2013.
