Overview

Sonal Anand receives an email about a mysterious book which states that the Bengal tiger would become extinct soon! Who sent that strange email and why? Sonal tries to figure it out with her sister Ekta, and her friends - Roger, Alex and Vicki.

About the Author

I am a computer science graduate from Anna University, India. After ten years in a sofware engineering career, I decided to follow my passion for preserving Indian heritage for our future generations. I wanted to achieve that by writing stories based on India for children.

Umachi books is my endeavor to provide high quality books on Indian heritage for all parents like me. I use a prose style in my writing that is terse and helps hold children's attention better. I get the illustrations done by the best in the Industry. I choose vocabulary that gently stretches children's capabilities.

For the picture books, I carefully pick the stories from Indian history and mythology. Since these are meant for impressionable kids, I deftly avoid controvery. I believe these stories will show Indian heritage in a positive light to the kids of today.

The adventure series is meant for older kids (ages 7-12). Though these stories are set in different parts of the world, they have an underlying theme which is Indian. My hope is that this will give children the confidence and optimism to make a difference and Save the world like the Super SAVERs!
