ATTN MOMS, DADS, GRANDMAS, GRANDPAS AND GUARDIANS TOO: If you're reading this then it's time to get your tin cups, metal spoons and shovels ready because we are staging a breakout... a breakout from Kidcatraz!
KIDCATRAZ is the inescapable feelings, emotions, and behaviors that accompany parenthood. This book is not necessarily designed to help you escape those feelings, because you never will. The purpose of this book is to provide techniques, strategies, and coping skills necessary for survival. Not your survival, but the survival of your children.
Surviving Kidcatraz was written by Dr. Jean Jackson. Prior to her retirement, Dr. Jackson spent over 30 years as a leader in early childhood education. She received Bachelor's, Master's, Specialist's and Doctoral degrees in early childhood education from top universities. Over the course of her career, she held positions as a professor, teacher, child psychologist, school counselor, dean of students, vice principal and 20 years as principal of one of the highest achieving elementary schools in Southern Nevada. In addition to her successful career as an educator of students, Dr. Jackson also spent 5 years as owner of SMJ Consulting, an educational consulting company designed to train and mentor school administrators to reach their full potential as early childhood education professionals.
Dr. Jackson's experience in educating children also stems from her experience as the single mother of two very successful daughters, both of whom graduated from college and graduate school debt free with full tuition and athletic scholarships. Even with all of her professional accomplishments, Dr. Jackson considers the successful rearing of her daughters as her greatest accomplishment to date.
In conclusion, Dr. Jackson knows her stuff and is more than qualified to lead you on your journey of SURVIVING KIDCATRAZ.
