About the Author

Denise Jenkins James Connors is the main character in Survivor, a true story of a young, ambitious lady who took a gamble on love and the disastrous events that followed. Denise was in the top of her high school class and focused on her future when she decided to give love a chance. Her suitor, Jimmy, wooed her and he seemed to be the perfect guy until things started to change. The relationship spiraled out of control and as it grew more unstable, so did Denise's well being. In her quest for love, Denise finds more than a relationship. But it was only her family and faith that guided her through extremes she couldn't have imagined for her life.
When asked about her motivation to write the book Connors said, "I wanted to share my experiences of being in a volatile and violent relationship. My story has a tone of survival that I hope will inspire readers."

Denise Jenkins was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Benjamin and Melvenia Jenkins. She attended William M Raines High School, Massey Business College, Jones Business College, Atlanta Community College and Advanced Career College. She’s a people person who enjoys helping the needy, encouraging others to smile and encouraging others to be happy because life is worth living. Denise lives a lifestyle of peace, harmony and goodwill to all men.
