## Fantastic read. I loved how possessive the hero was. Might suck in real life but it was perfect for this book. As always, Katie knows how to write a sex scene....oh yeah. The book was fairly short (apprx 130 pages), but sometimes that's all I need. I had to deduct a star because the proposal...well...sucked.

another great read by this author, i loved learning more about both characters and they seemed to balance each other out. There were a few twists i didn't see coming that were very suprising. Angel was running from her past but even after everything she had gine through she was a loving, caring person but stubborn and independant as well. Vadim is very strong, silent and protective plus he is also deadly but a computer geek even if he is lacking a few social skills.

I completely fell in love with Vadim! The sexy Russian speaking/computer geek/ex-Marine who is completely awkward around women, stole my heart right out of my chest! We need more Vadim’s in the world.  I loved Vadim’s possessiveness towards Angel and his constant need to keep her safe, despite his extreme methods. Angel is a stubborn woman with a heart of gold and she complimented Vadim very well. I also loved Charlie, Vadim’s German shepherd. What a sweetie pie!  Katie throws a little twist into this suspenseful story that I did not see coming and I really enjoyed trying to figure out what was going to happen next! The book was great; I enjoyed the storyline and catching glimpses from secondary characters from previous books. It’s always nice to peek on how they’re doing. I really like how the couples in each book of the series start out as friends making a solid foundation for their relationships. It definitely makes for a more believable happily ever after. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series. ***I received an eBook copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

Of the three books in this series I have read, Sweetest Surrender is my favorite story. Vadim is a private consultant for Wyatt Christiansen, billionaire and owner of a very upscale hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Vadim is computer whiz, former military man, and a very quiet person with little personal relationships. Angel, one of the waitresses at the Cloud Nine Restaurant in the hotel, has been running from a stalker for the past two years and keeps to herself. These two been attracted to each other since they met, and slowly become friends. When vandalism occurs and it seems Angel is in danger, Vadim moves heaven and earth to keep her safe. It’s a story filled with suspense, an evil man, hunky good guys, and a plot that will keep you entertained. The main characters, Angel and Vadim, are well developed . While Vadim would probably frown on being called sweet, he definitely is , especially when it comes to Angel. Definitely another great addition to this series. I was gifted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

A captivating friends-to-lovers romance paired with chilling suspense in Sin City! She made him want to lose control, something he never did. Sweetest Surrender by Katie Reus is a captivating and titillating friends-to-lovers romance paired with chilling suspense set in Sin City. Viva Las Vegas! It’s the third book in Katie’s Serafina: Sin City series, but it works perfectly fine as a standalone read if that is your preference. This is Vadim’s and Angel’s story and it is told from the dual view points of the two main characters. Vadim is the Serafina Hotel & Casino’s computer guru. He’s alpha, ex-military, and hot. Angel is working as a waitress at the resort’s Cloud 9 restaurant while running from her past. She’s using a fake ID trying to survive out-of-sight of her ex who murdered her brother. Angel and Vadim are strongly attracted to each other, but Angel knows that nothing can come of it as she’s not who she claims to be and cannot stay in one place too long. When her crazed stalker finds her, will she trust Vadim enough to accept his protection? Fans of the series will be glad to know that previous favorite characters in the series make appearances. I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention a certain lovable canine star herein.  Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Sweetest Surrender: The woman brought out his protective instincts to the point he couldn’t think straight sometimes. He’d never felt like that about anyone and it was jarring. Sometimes he wondered if he got a taste of her if it would slake the need he always seemed to have for her. --- From the moment they’d met, their friendship had been leading to more… --- "Do you know how often I've fantasized about the color of your nipples?" he growled against her neck before feathering soft kisses up to her jaw. I listened to Sweetest Surrender and found myself extending my workouts as I didn't want to hit stop with this book! Jeffrey Kafer does his normal excellent job voicing it. His voice is clear and easy to understand. His pacing is perfect. His voices sound realistic and he consistently differentiates between the characters to where I have no trouble discerning who is speaking at any one time. The end product is polished. If you enjoy audio books, I would not hesitate to pick up the audio edition of Sweetest Surrender. I honestly can't get enough of Katie's sexy thrillers! Sweetest Surrender is the perfect blend of suspense, intrigue and hot romance with plenty of twists and turns along the way. The villain is nasty and his devious games gave me goosebumps. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys steamy romantic suspense! My full review is published at Reading Between the Wines Book Club. Please check it out there!

Sweetest Surrender is the 3rd book in “The Serafina, Sin City Series” by Katie Reus. I love the Sin City Series. Katie always brings a solid story, well developed characters that you really care about, and this is no exception. The sexy voice of Jeffrey Kafer is once again narrator for a book of Katie’s. I think I could listen to him read most anything! I listened to this book on Audible. Vadim is a consultant of Wyatt Christiansen and Angel works at the hotel. She is trying to live under the radar and hide from her past, while trying to help the kids that live next door. When her past catches up with her, Vadim is there to protect and fall in love with her. We get to visit a short time with a few characters from the past. I received this ARC for an honest review.

This is Vadim and Angel's story... You've all seen the intimidating, head always on security or in the computer. Very masculine, combat ready Vadim...well dive in and see what lies beneath the exterior.. ;) Angel shy and secretive, well when it comes to her life beyond work as well as her past. Find out if her past with eat her alive or will it bring her the life she so desires and deserves...love,finishing school and feeling safe. Angel and Vadim were quite the combo/dual/couple in this well written book about dominance, the battle within Vadim to keep his dominance and yet know when to let Angel control her own thoughts, actions and life. An ever burning sexual attraction and love between two who start shy and friendly, to their acceptance of feelings they both have for each other. A past that left Angel always on the run, finding her and causing havoc and turmoil not only in her life but internally within her, fear rising each step she takes. A twist that comes when you think you know all...only to find someone else wants to end it all in the end... Enjoyed reading Sweetest Surrender till the very end. Awesome job as always Katie Reus.

Angel and Vadim have some very steamy scenes that will get you hooked.  This is a short read that can be read in one night, which I did because I couldn't put it down.

This book makes me think that I was born a decade too early.  When I went to high school, what was considered "cool" with the BMOCs (Big Men on Campus) and the surfers (yes, I grew up in Southern California).  I thought they were cool too.  But I was always shared that attraction with the smart, quiet, somewhat socially awkward guys too.  These days we see an increasing number of books that feature the "intelligence" guy, the computer whiz who can find any information or hack through any security system in most alpha teams (whether it is special ops or motorcycle clubs). So now, it is vogue to be both geeky and brawny.  This is fast becoming my favorite kind of hero.  All to say, that Katie Reus offers up a sweet story featuring this alpha-geek aiding a damsel on the run.  This is the sweetest little story. Not the most tension filled romantic suspense, but something about the relationship between the two characters is highly appealing. Against the backdrop of Vegas and the Hotel Serafina, Vadim and Angel circle around each other until Angel's past catches up with her and Vadim finds the opportunity to protect the one he's be admiring from afar.  From afar because this left-brain dominant alpha is clueless that he's been the object of her affection. I love the fact that he's a little geeky  He is sweet and awkward and brilliant and alpha.   The best part is watching this romance develop. Like the other heroines in the Serafina series, Angel has an inner strength that is attractive.  Angel is not the über strong, kick-ass chick, but rather the regular, stubborn, girl with a steely resolve. That what makes this pairing so perfect.  I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between the two characters. The suspense part of the story is a little light.  The narrative is straight forward, but Katie Reus gives us a couple of unexpected turns that keep the story interesting.  IN A NUTSHELL:  My favorite of the Serafina stories so far, don't miss this installment of the series.  Go ahead.  Indulge in a little alpha-geek goodness.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.   Another amazing story.  This is the 3rd in the Serafina: Sin City series.  With each story, I fall deeper in love with the employees of Serafina. This story is my favorite, so far.  I have a weakness for Russian heroes, and Vadim is certainly the Russian hero.  Smart, sexy, and sweet while being a strong protector. I fall in love with Vadim.  Angel is the independent woman who is running from a bad past, and Vadim is the man to help protect her. This is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone story.  Katie gives readers enough information about any secondary characters that give new readers an idea of who they are, and how they are related to Angel and/or Vadim.  This has been my favorite book so far, and not just for the Russian hero. The plot, the romance, the twists kept me guessing at every turn, and I could not put my Kindle down until I finished.

Another amazing story from Katie. This is the 3rd book in The Serafina: Sin City Series, and is just awesome. It can totally be read as a stand alone book, reading them in order with give you more info on some of the other characters in Sweetest Surrender. Angel, on the run for a couple years, forced to live constantly looking over her shoulder. Working at the Serafina Hotel has given her a sense of almost peace. And it has also given her something to look forward to each shift, Vadim. Too bad she thinks he only sees her as a friend. Vadim, Russian, former marine, intense, and oh so yummy. Most of the staff at the Serafina are leery of him, and he is fine with it that way. Except Angel, from the first time he met her in Cloud9 she had a way to coax a smile out of him. He is completely taken with her, but she only sees him as a friend, so nothing for him to do. An embarrassing situation for Angel brings Vadim to her apartment, and starts them on their way. Angel is in danger and Vadim will do everything he can to protect her, if she would just let him. These two together are electric, and just amazing. This was a book that was almost impossible to put down, and I can not wait to read the next chapter in the series. Im totally hooked on The Sin City series.

I realky loved this book and the characters. Vadim was a perfect combo of alpha, smart and sweet....but then he had this hint of shyness that made him stand out. I could have used another 100 pages because i felt like they ciuld have gone deeper in their relationship but mostly because im greedy! Cant wait for more in this series!!

In Sweetest Surrender by Katie Reus, Angel has been on the run for 2 years...running from a dangerous stalker she hopes will never find her.  She's been in Vegas for a few months now, working in Cloud 9 at the Serafina.  Vadim, who works in computers/security at the Serafina, has become friends with Angel. Vadim carries an aura of danger around him, he is mysterious and lots of women are frightened of him.  Not Angel though.  In fact, Angel has feelings for Vadim that are definitely not of the friendly sort...only she thinks he only sees her as a friend.   Angel is starting to feel very comfortable in Vegas with her 'family' at Serafina...but she is starting to feel nervous and has the urge to run again.  Angel brings out the protective instincts in former Marine Vadim, who is feeling much more than friendly towards Angel.  When he senses something is up with her, he convinces Angel to say at his home.  He wants her close.  Soon both of their instincts prove right and she is in danger once again.  Not wanting anyone to be hurt because of her, she has to decide if she's going to run forever...or can she trust in Vadim and her other friends?  When Vadim finds out the truth he will do anything to protect Angel so they can have a future together.  The bond she is forging with him is getting stronger every day, is it worth the risk to stay and face danger?    Sweetest Surrender is a fast paced, super hot book that will have you glued to the pages!  Angel and Vadim are a great hero and heroine.  Angel is independent and strong.  She does not want to be a charity case for Vadim to look after...and he is just the man to prove that she is anything but a charity case for him!  I really liked how despite Angel's bad experience she doesn't shut herself off from relationships or paint all men with the same brush.  Vadim is one hot, take charge alpha man!  I have been waiting for his story, having been very intrigued by this mysterious man, and Katie did not disappoint!  Katie gives us just enough background on him so that we understand him, and the present isn't clouded by the past.   The interactions between Angel and Vadim are super, and Katie will have you hoping they have their own happily ever after as soon as you meet them and get drawn into their story.  There are some great secondary characters in Sweetest Surrender who you will recognize from the other books, but they blend well with this story so that it can be read as a stand alone.   Katie gives us an enchanting mix of suspense, romance and heat in Sweetest Surrender with unexpected but thrilling plot twists that will keep you guessing, never knowing what to expect.  Smoothly writtten great attention to detail, if you like romantic suspense you will love Sweetest Surrender.

Angel has a heart of gold and even when dealing with her own problems she tries to help others. Talk about a conflicted hero! Vadim isn't sure he can get past the friend zone with Angel but lie doesn't know  Angel's secret thoughts about him. Let the sparks fly and the fireworks begin!!   Can they find their way to each other before her past catches up to them? You can read this book alone but I think it goes better with the series. Another great book!!  Can't wait for the next one.

Sweet and Suspenseful in Sin City. Sweetest Surrender is the third book in the Serafina Sin City Series. This is another well written book by Ms. Reus. You do not need to read the prior books to be able to get into the action of this book. This is the story of Vadim and Angel. Vadim comes off to most women as scary and unapproachable. Angel thinks the complete opposite of this. She considers him her friend. Vadim is somewhat awkward when dealing with women, which is kind of sweet. Vadim and Angel each have a secret attraction for the other but are afraid or unwilling to act on it. When the past that Angel is running from comes back to haunt her then Vadim goes into uber-protective mode, which causes some problems for him as Angel is independent and doesn’t want to rely on him. The suspense is well written. The characters are likeable and believable. There are some really great sexy scenes in between the action. Any, who doesn’t love a hero that has a great dog named Charlie? I was provided an ARC of this book for an honest review (but I also purchased the book)

OMG…seriously Vadim is one of the sexiest heroes I’ve read in awhile. Yeah, he does some things to protect Angel that made me want to smack him for being a dumb male, but I really loved him for caring so much. Angel has a seriously scary past, and I loved that she falls in love with Vadim, even though she’s afraid of him being hurt by her past. Ms. Reus has a serious knack for building up the suspense until the reader needs to scream to release the tension, and then somehow still manages to take the reader to higher level of suspense with some amazing twists. She’s a true mistress of her craft and this story just shows off her superb writing skills. Vadim and Angel are on a whirlwind roller coaster of romance with lots of sexy scenes to keep the spice that I’ve come to expect from her books. I highly recommend this book, I think it’s a fabulous addition to the Serafina City series. I look forward to more stories in this series. It can definitely be read as a stand-alone but I do love and recommend the whole series.  I received a copy in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not compensated for my review.

Yesterday, I finished Sweetest Surrender by Katie Reus. This happens to be the third book story in The Serafina: Sin City series. I have to say that Vadim and Angel's story blew me away. The previous book were good, but I think this surpass what I was expecting.  Basically, we have Angel who has been living under the radar for sometime. She's trying to keep a low profile, because she's afraid her past might catch up with her. Vadim has had a crush on Angel for sometime and figure it's time to make a move. However, things happen that put Angel in danger, luckily Vadim is there to help her.  I love Vadim. In the previous books, he's picture as a scary guy. Not that he's a freak, but he's just intense and no one knows how to deal with him. While Angel and him become instant friends, because she sees more in him. Anyway, Angel past catches up with her and she needs Vadim's help. Vadim's more than willing to help her, because he cares for her. Sweetest Surrender blew my mind. I know that Katie throw some plot twist here and there. I must say that I didn't see the twist coming. Honestly, I was like "What! No way!" moment. Other than that Angel and Vadim's friendship quickly turns into one hot relationship. Overall, I loved Sweetest Surrender and I think it's probably the best one so far. I can't wait to see what Katie will do with the rest of the guys at the Serafina. So, if you are looking for a quick suspense read, you might consider Sweetest Surrender.  Copy provided by author
