First one is so cute but this book doesn't look right on the nook. it's format is all screwed up and the pictures and words don't all fit on the same page. Too confusing for a young reader or a child who needs the pictures to fully understand what is happening in the sentences.

I really like this one.Tacky, being different from the other penguins, decides to go surfing while they nap. And he ends up in Africa, where he's promptly picked up as an elephant who thinks he's a bouquet! Naturally, his odd behavior saves the day and he ends up home. What I love about this book is that the other penguins are clearly shown missing him while he's gone, not because he's useful to him (as so often is the storyline), but because he's Tacky.

Tacky the exuberant penguin accidentally goes sailboarding and winds up on a tropical island, where he meets an elephant who demands proof of Tacky's identity.

This is the book that made my son and I fall in love with Tacky. He's an odd bird, but a nice bird to have around. Tacky sets sail on an iceburg and ends up on an island where he mistakes an elephant for a rock. The elephant mistakes Tacky for a bunch of flowers. Hilarity ensues.

I love this book (we have the paperback).  It is playful and also sends message to appreciate others different than yourself.
