Taken for his Own is the fourth novel of the Promise Me series by Tara Fox Hall. Several years have gone by and Sar continues to be enamored with the paranormal world she’s discovered. Although Danial, the vampire, has almost turned her she still longs to be with him. After discovering Theo, the werecougar, is alive she makes up her mind to leave Danial and search for him. Sar continues to be pulled in two directions by her love for both men. Sar and Danial have a son together and this creates a strong bond between them, yet she feels Theo is her soul mate. Danial’s brother, Devlin, lusts after her causing quite the controversy by the end of the story.  Taken for his Own has non-stop action, sex and drama and keeps you guessing who Sar truly loves. I changed my mind several times while reading this novel. I rooted for Sar and Theo in earlier books but now I feel he is possessive and not really her soul mate. Dev's personality change is quite a surprise but I think he has an agenda. I recommend reading the series, especially if you like soapy intrigue. It has so many twists and turns when it comes to love or what love really is. I have to say I would like Sar to make up her mind and stick with it but then the story would have to end. This story is not yet over and I’ll be waiting to see what happens next.
