About the Author

At the age of twelve Jackie decided she wanted to be a writer. Twenty years, two university degrees, one husband, and two kids later, she finally managed to achieve her dream. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with her wonderful family. After giving up her library career, she now writes romance full time and thinks it's just about the best job in the world.

Jackie Ashenden lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband, the inimitable Dr. Jax, and their two kids and two cats. When she’s not torturing alpha males and their stroppy heroines, she can be found drinking chocolate martinis, reading anything she can lay her hands on, posting random crap on her blog, or being forced to go mountain biking with her husband.

Jackie writes dark, sexy contemporary romance for St Martin’s Press, the titles Mine To Take, Make You Mine, and You Are Mine.

## I definitely enjoyed reading this book. It had a lot a fun moments that made me smile and I love that. The writing was superb with its witty dialogue. I do wish however that the heroine wouldn't have been so weak. The stammering was a bit much. And after all the hurtful things the hero said to push the heroine away, she forgave way too quickly. I'm not a fan of instant forgiveness so I had to deduct one star. Having ADHD doesn't excuse every action. That being said, it was still a fantastic read which I will place in my re-read pile.

I thought this was a good story. It isn't very long, but the author still gets in a good story that works. The synopsis provided in not quite right - there is no gold-digging involved! It's more about a man who doesn't think anyone else will put up with what he considers his major flaw. The characters are well written and the story entertains.

This is the first book I have read by Jackie Ashenden but it won't be the last. She has style and wit. Her characters are real and you empathize with them. The author has given us a funny, sexy and very emotional story. Joseph Ashton, the successful billionaire, and Christie St. John, a shy and insecure geek, are an awesome couple. I loved their chat room banter as Naughtygirl25 and Studman500. Their chemistry is immediate as is their vulnerability. I couldn't wait to see how their romance played out. This is a book that you don't want to miss. I received a ARC from the publisher for an honest review.

Take one gaming geek, Christie, aka "naughtygirl125" and  put her in a gaming chat room. Take one bored CEO, Joseph, who suffers from ADHD, and while waiting for his employee to return to the meeting, enters his gaming chat room and engages in a sexy exchange with naughtygirl.  This is a wonderfully written opposites attract story that keeps you turning the pages.

4.5 Stars I truly enjoyed this book. This is the first book I have read by Jackie Ashenden and it certainly won't be the last. Wow, what a unconventional story! It is original, fresh and romantic. The plot moves along effortlessly at a nice pace and the two main characters, Christie St. John and Joseph Ashton are intriguing and real. The reader totally feels the emotion and love developing between them and the honesty they express to each other is refreshing. Incorporating ADHD into the storyline, enhanced the truism of the relationship. This is a moving, quick read and I recommend it highly. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
