Tarot Killer
Tarot Killer, a Gargoyle Legends novella

Tobias Smithson, an occult specialist and private investigator, is called in by the FBI to consult on a case with their Occult Crimes Unit. A serial killer is on the loose in Las Vegas, scrawling pentagrams on the floor with his victims’ blood and leaving a different tarot card at the sight of every murder. He’s not the sickest puppy Tobias has helped catch, but he ranks pretty high.

Still, something is bothering Tobias about the case – and it’s not just the annoying rookie agent he has to work with or the fact that his estranged mentor just showed up out of the blue. The clues aren’t adding up the way they should and Tobias soon realizes that all his knowledge about the supernatural is useless when it comes to catching this murderer.

Originally published on hlfleming.com, this novella is set in the world of The Gargoyle Legends. It follows Tobias, detailing the hunt he was on before his appearance in the second book of the Gargoyle Legends; Grotesque Game. It is now available as an ebook by request.

About the Author

Heather Fleming is the author of The Gargoyle Legends, a dark fantasy series based on the myths and monsters of ancient civilizations around the world. The Lost Legends are stories set in the same universe and follow the same canon, but have been listed as a separate series to avoid confusion with chronology and the numbering of the main books in the series. Most of the Lost Legends can be read for free at hlfleming.com, but have been converted into ebook format after multiple requests from readers.
