With nowhere to go, he moves temporarily into an old ranch house on his brother's property surprised the place is occupied.

I loved this book, so much that I have to go back and read the first 3 book of the series!s Cash is your typical stubborn cowboy who doesn't think he's good enough for Paige. Seven years ago, he made the mistake letting Paige go based on that belief. After career ending accident, Cash finds himself back home drowning his sorrows with a bottle. Fortunately for him, Paige is now living in Whispering springs, and circumstances find them sharing a house. Paige is no longer the naive girl that fell in love with Cash when she was a teenager. But when she sees cash again, she cannot deny that they chemistry is still there. When she finds herself having to share a house with Cash, she devises a way to keep him busy so that he doesn't feel the need to drink. Even thought they both try to deny the their attraction to each other, eventually Paige makes Cash a deal to enjoy each other's company through the summer. As they spend time together, old feelings resurface and and they must both decide whether or not to risk their hearts. The story flows smoothly and they dialogue is funny and sexy. This is the first book I've read by Cynthia D'Alba and she has a new fan in me. Hightly recommended to anyone who likes western romances with sexy cowboys. eARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

What do you do with your life when everything you had always dreamt of is no longer possible? Cash Montgomery was a world champion bull rider whose career is ended in a horrible wreck with a bull named Bad Bob. He comes back home to Whispering Springs, Texas to lick his wounds and heal, but instead tries to drown in sorrows in a bottle of Whiskey. Paige Ryan moves to Whispering Springs to be closer to her step-brother after the deaths of her parents. Due to a miscommunication, they end up renting the same house – a miscommunication that may prove beneficial to both. I loved this book so very much. I loved Cash – from his battles with his demons to discovering there is life after the rodeo. I love Paige – from her staunch independence to her wish to help Cash with his battles. This was my first visit with the Montgomery family but I loved their closeness and willingness to stick their noses in each other’s business to make sure each was doing ok. I am very much looking forward to going back to read the first 3 books in the series. I cannot highly recommend this book enough. Those who love Cowboy romances or family sagas will love this book. While this is book 4 of the Montgomery Family series, it can easily be read as a standalone.

Good Book! Author Cynthia D’Alba has another winner, Texas Twist, her fourth book in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series. Each book focuses on the love life of a member of the Montgomery family. This story is about cowboy Cash Montgomery, the youngest of the four Montgomery siblings. Up until about six months ago, Cash was living the high life. He was a champion bull rider with a nice nest egg, a ton of friends, and a lot female companionship. When he was thrown off and kicked by one of the meanest bulls ever, his professional life on the rodeo circuit was instantly over. Now his leg aches constantly, he drinks a lot and his plans for the future are questionable. He finds some solace living in, and fixing up the old Fitzgerald place, living with the only girl that stole his heart. Paige Ryan is a hard-working young woman, who moved to Whispering Springs, Texas to be with her step-brother after her parents were killed in a car accident. Paige is well-educated, and is adding to her undergraduate degrees in psychology and nursing, by obtaining her nurse practitioner license. Constant studying kept her sane, while she was dealing with the death of her parents and her first sexual encounter. Paige's parents were part of the professional rodeo circuit and as a result, Paige grew up surrounded by cowboys, ranchers and professional bull-riders. She fell in love with Cash at a very young age and they have a lot of history between them. Cash and Paige are an extremely hot couple. Cash is an alpha male and Ms. Alba does a marvelous job of creating the sensual and explosive chemistry between them. The plot is good as well, and I liked learning about the many of the members of the Montgomery clan. All the characters are well-defined and interesting. Since each book in this series can be read as a standalone, and I have only read books three and four, I plan on spending some time in Whispering Springs with the first two books very soon. Complimentary copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book! With a damaged cowboy, a strong heroine, and some fabulous family dynamics, you have all the ingredients for a five-star read! I just loved Cash and Paige. After sustaining a career ending injury, Cash has spent his time drowning his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. Paige has always been in love with Cash, but after he treats her like another buckle bunny after spending the night with her on her 18th birthday, Paige has carried around a bit of unrequited anger to go along with the unrequited love she is still harboring. When fate brings these two back together again, sparks fly and things heat up – but the mistakes of the past and fear of the future, as well as some meddling family, threaten to keep these two apart. I just love the emotional ride that Ms. D’Alba takes us on – it was so easy to get caught up in the character’s lives and live through the emotions with them. And even though both Cash and Paige had me frustrated at times, I couldn't help but root for them as they fought themselves, each other, and even mother nature to find their happy ever after. I have not read the previous books in this series, but feel this book can be read as a standalone. I will definitely be going back and meet the other Montgomery family members from the first three books – I just love the family dynamics and look forward to finding out the beginning of the story for some of the characters we meet in Texas Twist. I can’t wait to catch up on the books I haven’t read and then read the next installment in this series! I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

This was a great read. It is the first book that I have read by this author but it definitely won't be the last. This is the fourth story in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series.  This story centers on Cash Montgomery and Paige Ryan. Paige has always loved Cash but he always felt that he wasn't good enough for Paige. They have a history because Cash is the man that took Paige's virginity and her heart and then broke it. Just when she thinks she will never see him again he is drunk in her brother's bar. He is hurting physically and mentally after a disasterous ride on a bull. Paige is staying in Caroline Montgomery's uncles house for the summer until she leaves to finish her schooling for nursing. In a twist of fate Travis, Carolines's husband and Cash's oldest brother, tells Cash that he can stay in the same house not knowing that it is already occupied. They end up as roommates and then decide to be roommates with benefits. Paige knows she is going to end up with a broken heart  but feels time with Cash is worth it. As Cash refurbishes the old house he starts feeling better and thinking that maybe his life isn't  over after all. Will they realize what they have together before the end of summer and Paige leaves? I couldn't wait to find out. I fell in love with all the characters in this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series

Cynthia D'Alba will keep you on the edge of your seat and flipping those pages while you read Texas Twist. Another excellent, well written, action packed and fun story that will leave you with that happy romance high when you get to the end. Cash Montgomery is recovering for a near death experience. After being nearly killed in a rodeo accident he turns to drinking to forget the life and plans that will no longer be possible.  Paige Ryan fell in love with Cash when she was part of the rodeo circuit as a teen. He was her first love and hurt her badly, now she finds herself mixed up with him again. I received this as a complimentary copy from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review and  it has been a wonderful reading experience for me, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This was the first book I had read by Cynthia D'Alba and I am questioning WHY?! It was fantastic! It has a woman who is working to get her life back in order by going back home. She runs into her old crush who has the ability to make all her hard work vanish. While he is busy drowning his loss of his career as a champion bull-rider at the bottom of a whiskey bottle. These two are ready to set sparks off each other! A wonderful set of players and a perfect setting for these two. I couldn't have enjoyed this book more. We have Paige Ryan who has moved back to Whispering Springs to be close to her step brother, but also so she can get her life on track and get her medical career started. She helps her brother out by working in the bar he owns and there she finds her the man she loved as a young girl Cash Montgomery. He was passed out on his table surrounded by empty bottles. She helped him to the drunk room and walked out hoping that was the last she seen of him. Cash Montgomery is first seen in the drunk room he is having an interesting dream involving an unknown redhead. When his concerned brothers interrupt. He knows a woman with red hair was there. He wasn't just dreaming her up. He is angry. Angry at his brothers, angry at himself, angry at the world. Since the bull ride that cost him he has drowned himself in a bottle and remained angry. Nothing anyone has done has helped. When unexpected circumstances occur forcing Paige and Cash together, Paige is determined to help Cash. Even if he doesn't know he is being helped. Now she has to hope it doesn't blow up in her face. This book was so perfectly written. These two weren't perfect together they had to get that way. And she didn't just fall in his lap in instant love. I will be reading the previous 3 books now and will be reading any books after this one. I absolutely loved this one that much. I want to know how the other characters in this book got together just from reading it.

I loved this story by Cynthia D'Alba! Book 4 is the Texas Montgomery Maverick series. Very well written with a smooth flow through out the book. Cash Montgomery, champion bull rider and Paige Ryan, circuit vet's daughter. He was her first at 18 and she wanted him to be her last 7 years later when they meet again in a house they didn't realize they were sharing. Talk about a bullheaded bull rider! The Montgomery's in books 1, 2 and 3 are there, a bunch that want to see Paige happy but think it will be with the new sheriff. They want Cash home to stay, healed and happy. Cash needs to stay on his toes to keep himself from the feelings surfacing 7 years later and when Paige comes up with a plan to co-exist for the summer, things heat up! I can always count on Cynthia and her MONTGOMERY MAVERICKS for a hot, sexy and exciting read. Anxiously awaiting the next book in this series! 5 stars to CYNTHIA D'ALBA!!(less)

Texas Twist (Texas Montgomery Mavericks 04) by Cynthia D'Alba has all of the Montgomerys making an appearance but can still be read as a stand-alone. I love seeing the family get involved their loving nosiness is quite a sight to read. With that said, I have read the book somewhat out of order. It has not hindered my enjoyment at all. Besides family, there is a second chance romance theme going on with Paige and Cash. Still they are able to get along which I truly enjoyed in the everyday moments of the story. Also, they have grown up especially Paige. Cash does some growth within the story which is great to see his self-pitying change to a resilient productive man. There is also the theme of shattered dreams, healing and a bit of danger. To go along with the sizzling romance. I thought the last book I read by Cynthia D’Alba, Texas Bossa Nova, was my favorite. However, I loved watching Cash pull himself up by his boot strings in Texas Twist. Yes, life threw him a serious twist but without that he wouldn’t have found Paige again. Also enjoyed the four-legged and the two legged characters in this story. The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4.5 Stars This is book four in the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series and it features the sexy rodeo star Cash Montgomery and nurse Paige Ryan. Explosive chemistry! Fabulous characters! The story line was smooth until the disaster the end. It kind of just sprung up in a matter of minutes and was gone and never discussed again which was kind of weird. All in all it was a terrific book and I can't wait to read more from this very talented author.

When one door closes another one opens. Paige and Cash are both dealing with heartbreaking losses. Can they help each other through the healing process? Texas Twist is a merger of the best assets of Cynthia D'Alba. She blends painful scenarios with uplifting emotions and the lover of a good family to create another great novel within her Texas Montgomery Mavericks series. As long as there are Montgomery's to discover, I'll keep coming back for more.

This is book 4 in the Texas Montgomery Maverick series. This is a stand alone story with a HEA but I recommend reading them in order just for the full wonder of this series. Paige and Cash are wonderful together, the chemistry and each of there lives leading up to them meeting has made them who they are. I highly recommend this book to all readers of romance and second chances. This cowboy will sweep you away and Paige is enjoying every minute of it. Happy Reading.

I love the Montgomery family - the bonds they share, how they always have each other's backs and the love that is ever present. I was thrilled to read another chapter in their life. Cash is severely injured when thrown and abused by Bad Bob. He looses his professional rodeo career, which is his self identity, and finds solace in a bottle on a nightly basis. During one of his hungover, self-reflection periods, he reminisces to himself about Paige and we learn his side to the story. Paige has a life-long crush and love for Cash. At the tender age of eighteen, she shares her body and her virginity with him, only to get her young heart broken when he treats her like a buckle bunny. She looses her parents and moves to Whispering Springs to be near her brother and helps him in his bar. Needing a place to stay, Caroline invites Paige to move into the old Fitzgerald house, which has been vacant for about a year. In a relatively short amount of time, Travis, Caroline's husband and Cash's brother, invites Cash to move into the old Fitzgerald house. And this, dear readers, is when things really begin to heat up! Their story is full of emotion, heat, sensuality and humor. They took twists and turns to arrive at their well deserved happily ever after with healed body and souls. I highly recommend this book and all of Cynthia D'Alba's books. She has a wonderful writing style that keeps her readers engaged with her characters and she did not disappoint with Texas Twist! Thank you Ms. D'Alba for a wonderful Five Star read!  ~~Dianne~~

A broken cowboy, a nurse, and a run-down house equals a second chance at love. Money, fame and titles put the world, along with any woman he wanted, at Cash's feet. One bull ride took it all away. Instead of traveling the PBR Circuit, he's home in Whispering Springs nursing the remains of his shattered life with alcohol, trying to find a reason to get back on his feet again. Motivation arrives in the form of the one woman he dared to care for, a woman who was too young for him at the time, a woman he treated horribly after she'd given herself and her heart to him. Paige is leaving her step-brother's bar to work at Whispering Springs Medical Clinic. Aside from moving out of her uncle's home and into a friend's old homestead and dealing with the residual effects of her parents' tragic deaths, life's good. Until she comes home from working at the bar and discovers her friend's old homestead is already occupied by the one man she didn't think she'd see again. Loving Cash then left her with a broken heart. Sharing a roof with the man will either make her question her sanity or make her fall in love with him all over again. Cash and Paige's relationship is several years old. It started and ended in one night. Passion turned to indifference. Longing turned to hurt. To see the past through their memories was as bittersweet as living in the present with them. No matter what either wanted to feel toward each other, the fire they shared that fateful night still burned hot and bright between them. It was just a matter of what would they do about it: ignore it or act on it. I wanted them to act on it. I wanted them to reconcile their past. I wanted them to explore the feelings they had for each other. *sigh* I didn't want them having a fling though. Ms. D'Alba, you wouldn't believe the string of curse words I let lose when Paige told Cash her proposition. It felt like they were shortchanging themselves with a fling, like an actual relationship wasn't worth trying to have. It took a few deep breaths for me to calm down enough and re-read that part of the story. It also took a while for me to accept that it was as good a place to start as any because, hey, some of the best relationships in fiction happen because the couple knows how to set fire to the sheets. There were so many things to like about this story, but what stood out the most was Cash's progress from broken to whole. It was like the house they were staying in that he was fixing. Little by little, he repaired what was worn, rotting, peeling, and chipping. Little by little, the despair and agony of losing what had been his life fell to the ground until he stood on his own two feet ready to face the life that was his to live. A second chance at love doesn't happen for everyone. Cash and Paige not only got that chance, but they got to make their love last longer than an eight-second bull ride. They got to make it last a lifetime. ***Received from Tasty Book Tours for an honest review***

How It Made Me Feel:I enjoyed reading this book. I had hoped it would be an easy read that was entertaining and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the characters, the setting of the book, and the back story that constantly made an appearance. Stories set in Texas always find their way to me and this time was no different. I enjoyed the rodeo background for the characters and how a bucking bull operation was included in the story. It was a hot and steamy romance with a great male character and a fabulous female counterpart. I would love to continuing reading their story. What I Thought Worked:I really liked the twist on the character's back story. I loved that Paige and Cash knew each other from when they were younger and had memories that would surface through out the story. I also loved how well the author incorporated life at the rodeo. Brought back some great memories. What I Thought Didn't Work:At times during the story, I was a bit disappointed at the quality of conversation between the characters. I wanted more in-depth dialogue between the main characters when they were speaking of important things. Why It Got That Rating:I really enjoyed reading it. It was short enough that I could read it after work yet it still kept my attention and I was drawn into the romance between the characters. I would definitely read it again.  Who Would I Recommend To:I would recommend this book to someone who loves romances about cowboys, grumpy men, or Texas. It's a book that is meant for mature audiences, but the story line is great! Last Impressions/Remarks:I loved how the author incorporated Buster and Ruby in the story and how easily connected all the characters were. It was a fun read and easy to keep relationships straight.

Boy, oh boy, did I really enjoy Texas Twist. I read this book in less than an hour and a half as Cynthia D’Alba had captured my attention in a matter of seconds. Not only do I love hot cowboys but do I love strong female characters who can challenge that said cowboy and give him a run for his money – or shall I say rope …. Cynthia breaks all barriers and will capture your heart and your mind with this great read of a women who has lost her family and is forced into cohabitation with an angry, bitter, cowboy who is in need of a good … well you know. Not only is Cash Montgomery, hot, he is more than meets the eye and will have you fantasizing about cowboys all night long. D’Alba creates these characters who will have your full attention and keep your mind and other parts racing throughout the book …. Overall, Texas Twist is a wonderful read and will have you laughing at so many moments in the book and will keep you entertained the entire ride. D’Alba knows how to create hot men who will leave you breathless and female characters who will challenge those men and capture their hearts in the meantime. I definitely recommend Texas Twist to anyone needing a good read, a hot cowboy and a good laugh!

This is book 4 of the Texas Montgomery Mavericks series. Another great book by Cynthia D'Alba! When Cash is injured by a crazy bull, his rodeo life is over. He moves back to Whispering Springs to start a new life. Paige moves to Whispering Springs after her parents die. Little did either of them know that they would be sharing a place. Paige and Cash have a past though. As they try to rebuild their lives, their friendship grows again. Will it grow to be permanent? I really enjoyed reading as their story played out. Love this book!

Cash Montgomery thought we was on top of the world. He had it all. Until a bad bull leaves him injured, angry and searching for comfort at the bottom of a bottle. He is back in Whispering Springs, Texas near his family. His brother tells him he can move into his sister-in-law's old ranch house while getting back on his feet. Paige knows that Cash is going to break her heart again. Cash is not sure what he wants yet. Can they work together and build a future or will they go on their own paths? I loved this book! I look forward to next book! *ARC provided by author

Knew this was going to be a good one. Cash and Paige have a past one night of explosive passion, but Cash turned away from Paige. They haven't seen one another for 7 years well that all comes to an end when Cash's rodeo career comes to an abrupt end. They are reunited when they both unintentionally end up living in the same house. Cash has a lot to redeem himself for and boy does he win me over. The heat and chemistry these two characters have is off the charts hot! Overall a well rounded book that flows really well. I thought the ending was a perfect way to end the book. Loved revisiting couples from the previous books.

I've read a number of cowboy books but not many with rodeo action. I was cringing and biting my nails when I read about Cash in action with Bad Boy. Oh my... I was keeping my fingers crossed at the same time hoping that all would turn out alright. The starting of the story was a little weird to me. Maybe because this is the first book by Cynthia D'Alba that I'm reading and I've not read any of her earlier books in this series. It started off with KC showing off her diamond ring etc but it turns out that she is hardly in the picture and this story is Cash & Paige. Cash & Paige's lives were intertwined again after years passed. Paige is no longer that young gal with a huge crush for Cash. Well she thought her crush was over but she couldn't deny that attraction the minute she laid eyes on him again. Alas, Cash was no longer the same boy she knew. Scarred and beaten by the life he chosen, he wallows in self pity and alcohol. Pressure from his family members made him look for a temporary place to stay and with a turn of events, he ended up being roommates with Paige. With Paige's subtle help and when Buster came along, Cash began on the road of recovery from his injury as well as from himself. I definitely enjoyed the chemistry between Paige and Cash. It was also funny when he tried to deny himself from feeling anything for Paige only to have him turned alpha when Paige went out on dates with the new Sheriff, Marc. The secondary characters and the family scene behind makes the whole story endearing and heartwarming and you can't help but smile and enjoy the banter that is going on. Will definitely be checking out the rest of the books in this series as well as others of Cynthia's books. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
